Departamento Aeroportuário (DAP) ( en, Department of Airports) is the department of aviation of the state of Rio Grande do Sul in Brazil. DAP is part of the ''Secretaria de Transportes do Governo do Estado do Rio Grande do Sul'' ( en, Transportation Secretariat of the State of Rio Grande do Sul), and is responsible for the operation of 7 public airports within the state, in accordance to directives from the National Civil Aviation Agency of Brazil (ANAC). It was created on January 30, 1950. Torres, Rio Grande Do Sul
Torres is a city on the coast of south Brazil in the state of Rio Grande do Sul. The city has a population of approximately 40,000 inhabitants, of which 10,000 live in rural zones, but in summer the number of inhabitants reaches 300,000. History The municipality's name derives from the three basalt towers standing in the ocean, giving the beach its distinctive appearance. On March 21, 1878, by provincial law, Torres became a municipality. Today, with a population of 33,686 permanent inhabitants, Torres is an important tourist centre, with more than fifty hotels, restaurants and bars. Santo Ângelo
Santo Ângelo is a municipality located in northwestern Rio Grande do Sul state, Brazil. It has about 77,568 inhabitants (according to 2020 IBGE estimate) and the total area of the municipality is about 679 km². It borders Giruá to the north, and Entre-Ijuís to the south—it's linked to Santo Ângelo by the state road RS 344. The city is located 443 km (275 mi) from the state capital, Porto Alegre. Lauro Kurtz Airport is the airport serving Passo Fundo, Brazil. It is managed by contract by Infraero. History The airport was renovated in 2007. In January 2021 the airport was closed for the renovation of the runway and construction of a new terminal. It was re-opened on April 8, 2022. On April 4, 2022, the State of Rio Grande do Sul signed a contract of operation with Infraero. Previously the airport was operated by DAP. Passo Fundo
Passo Fundo is a municipality in the north of the southern Brazilian state of Rio Grande do Sul. It is named after its river. It's the twelfth largest city in the state with an estimated population of 204,722 inhabitants living in a total municipal area of 780 km2. Passo Fundo is a city well known because of the singer, composer and filmmaker Vitor Mateus Teixeira, better known as Teixeirinha, he was born in the city of Rolante in Rio Grande do Sul, and adopted the city of Passo Fundo as his own, the singer liked a lot from the city, in 1960 he composed the song "Gaúcho de Passo Fundo", which was very successful and made Passo Fundo become a known city throughout Brazil. Hugo Cantergiani Regional Airport , formerly called Campo dos Bugres Airport, is the airport serving Caxias do Sul, Brazil. It is operated by the Municipality of Caxias do Sul. History Commissioned in March 1941, Caxias do Sul Airport has followed the evolution of aeronautics in the last eight decades. In addition to the runway, previously located in the current "Cinquentenário" neighborhood, the Caxias do Sul Aeroclube appeared in February of that year, with the objective of training pilots.
