Denzel Devall
Denzel Devall (born 1994) is a former American football linebacker who played for the University of Alabama from 2012–2015. In July 2016, he started serving as a personnel assistant on the Alabama Crimson Tide football coaching staff. In January and February 2017, he was promoted first to assistant strength and conditioning coach and then promoted again to director of player development. High school career A native of Bastrop, Louisiana, Devall attended Bastrop High School, where he played on the football team. He finished his junior season with 108 tackles, five sacks, three fumbles caused, two fumbles recovered, and one interception. Linebacker
Linebacker (LB) is a playing position in gridiron football. Linebackers are members of the defensive team, and line up three to five yards behind the line of scrimmage and the defensive linemen. They are the "middle ground" of defenders, playing closer to the line of scrimmage than the defensive backs (secondary), but farther back than the defensive linemen. As such, linebackers play a hybrid role and are often the most versatile players on the defensive side of the ball; they can be asked to play roles similar to either a defensive lineman (such as stopping the runner on a running play) or a defensive back (such as dropping back into pass coverage). Anthony Johnson (defensive Lineman)
Anthony Johnson (born January 24, 1993) is a former American football defensive end. He played college football at LSU. During his high school football career at O. Perry Walker High School in New Orleans, Johnson broke the Louisiana career quarterback sack record with 67.5 sacks. The 2013 Arkansas Razorbacks football team represented the University of Arkansas during the 2013 NCAA Division I FBS football season. The Razorbacks played their home games at Donald W. A'Shawn Robinson (born March 21, 1995) is an American football defensive end for the Los Angeles Rams of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at Alabama and was drafted by the Detroit Lions in the second round of the 2016 NFL Draft. Robinson was a five-star recruit out of high school, with one service listing him as the nation's top defensive tackle. Courtney Tremaine Upshaw (born December 13, 1989) is a former American football defensive end. He was drafted by the Baltimore Ravens in the second round of the 2012 NFL Draft. Redshirt, in United States college athletics, is a delay or suspension of an athlete's participation in order to lengthen their period of eligibility. Typically, a student's athletic eligibility in a given sport is four seasons, aligning with the four years of academic classes typically required to earn a bachelor's degree at an American college or university. However, in a redshirt year, student athletes may attend classes at the college or university, practice with an athletic team, and "suit up" (wear a team uniform) for play – but they may compete in only a limited number of games (see " Use of status" section).
