Denys Graham
Denys Graham (born 29 June 1926) is a Welsh actor who appeared in the later series of ''Rumpole of the Bailey'' as his many daughtered colleague Percy Hoskins. He also played a range of other roles on stage and screen. He was educated at New College, Oxford and trained at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art. Newport ( cy, Casnewydd; ) is a city and Local government in Wales#Principal areas, county borough in Wales, situated on the River Usk close to its confluence with the Severn Estuary, northeast of Cardiff. ''Zulu'' is a 1964 British epic war film depicting the Battle of Rorke's Drift between the British Army and the Zulus in January 1879, during the Anglo-Zulu War. It shows how 150 British soldiers, 30 of whom were sick and wounded patients in a field hospital, successfully held off a force of 4,000 Zulu warriors. The film was directed by American screenwriter Cy Endfield and produced by Stanley Baker and Endfield, with Joseph E. Levine as executive producer. ''Modesty Blaise'' is a 1966 British spy-fi comedy film directed by Joseph Losey, produced by Joseph Janni, and loosely based on the popular comic strip ''Modesty Blaise'' by Peter O'Donnell, who co-wrote the original story upon which Evan Jones and Harold Pinter based their screenplay. Robert Jones VC (19 August 1857 – 6 September 1898) was a Welsh recipient of the Victoria Cross for his actions at the Battle of Rorke's Drift in January 1879, the highest and most prestigious award for gallantry in the face of the enemy that can be awarded to British and Commonwealth forces. Jones was born at Penrhos, a hamlet to the north of Raglan in Monmouthshire, Wales. Military achievements Jones was 21 years old, serving as a private in the 2nd Battalion, 24th Regiment of Foot (later The South Wales Borderers), British Army din the Anglo-Zulu War.
