Dennis Wight
Dennis Marley Wight (born 1953) was the Archdeacon of St Davids from 2013 until 2018. Wight was educated at the University of Southampton and studied for the priesthood at Sarum and Wells Theological College; and was ordained deacon in 1985, priest in 1986. After a curacy at Gillingham, Dorset, he was Vicar of Coseley from 1990 to 1994; Team Rector of Stoke Prior from 1994 to 2002 (Rural Dean of Droitwich from 1996 to 1999); and Vicar of Dale, Pembrokeshire, until 2010. The Archdeacon of St Davids is a senior cleric in the Church in Wales' Diocese of St Davids. The archdeacon is the senior priest with responsibility over the area of the archdeaconry of St Davids, one of three archdeaconries in the diocese (the others are Cardigan and Carmarthen). Diocese Of St Davids
The Diocese of St Davids is a diocese of the Church in Wales, a church of the Anglican Communion. The diocese covers the historic extent of Ceredigion, Carmarthenshire and Pembrokeshire, together with a small part of western Glamorgan. The episcopal see is the Cathedral Church of St David in the City of St Davids, Pembrokeshire. The present cathedral, which was begun in 1181, stands on the site of a monastery founded in the 6th century by Saint David. The diocese is divided into the three archdeaconries of St Davids, Carmarthen and Cardigan (additionally, Mones Farah was collated on 12 August 2018 as Archdeacon for New Church Communities). Keith Smalldon (born 1948 in Newport) was the Archdeacon of St Davids from 2011 until 2013. Smalldon studied for the priesthood at St. Michael's College, Llandaff; and was ordained deacon in 1971, priest in 1972. He graduated BA from The Open University in 1976 and MA from Newcastle in 1994. After curacies in Cwmbran and Chepstow he was Youth and Community Officer for the Diocese of Bradford from 1975 to 1979; and in Manchester from 1982 to 1990. He was Director of Clergy Training for the Diocese of Carlisle from 1990 to 1994; Team Rector of Daventry from 1994 to 1998, and then Llantwit Major from 1998 to 2003. Dale, Pembrokeshire
Dale is both a small village and a community in Pembrokeshire, Wales, located on the peninsula which forms the northern side of the entrance to the Milford Haven Waterway. The village has 205 inhabitants according to the 2001 census, increasing to 225 at the 2011 Census.
