Dennis Sitali Alibuzwi
Lieutenant General Dennis Sitali Alibuzwi, also Dennis Alibuzwi, is a Zambian military officer who has been the Commander of the Zambian Army since 29 August 2021. He was promoted from the rank of Major General to Lieutenant General, on the day that he was appointed Commander of the Army. He replaced Lieutenant General William Sikazwe, who served in that role between December 2018 and August 2021. The Zambian Army is one of the three components of the Zambian Defence Force. Before he became Army Commander, he was the Deputy Commander of the Zambian Amy, at the rank of Major General, from January 2019 until August 2021. United States Army War College
The United States Army War College (USAWC) is a U.S. Army educational institution in Carlisle, Pennsylvania, on the 500-acre (2 km2) campus of the historic Carlisle Barracks. It provides graduate-level instruction to senior military officers and civilians to prepare them for senior leadership assignments and responsibilities. Each year, a number of Army colonels and lieutenant colonels are considered by a board for admission. Zambian Army
The Zambian Army, is the land military branch of the Zambian Defence Force. Like all branches of the Zambian military, citizens of the nation are required to register at 16 years old, and citizens can join at 16 years old with parental consent or at 18 years old when they are classified as adults by Zambia. There is currently no conscription. (There was a Zambia National Defence Force conscription from 1975 to 1980.) Applicants must be Zambian citizens and must have a school Grade 12 certification. Applicants must also undergo a test for HIV on enlistment. Personnel can serve until age 65, when there is a mandatory retirement. Lieutenant General
Lieutenant general (Lt Gen, LTG and similar) is a three-star military rank (NATO code OF-8) used in many countries. The rank traces its origins to the Middle Ages, where the title of lieutenant general was held by the second-in-command on the battlefield, who was normally subordinate to a captain general. In modern armies, lieutenant general normally ranks immediately below general and above major general; it is equivalent to the navy rank of vice admiral, and in air forces with a separate rank structure, it is equivalent to air marshal. William Sikazwe
Lieutenant General William Sikazwe, is a Zambian military officer who was the Commander of the Zambian Army until August 2021. He replaced Lieutenant General Paul Mihova, who together with his deputy, Major General Jackson Miti, were retired in the "national interest". The Zambian Army is one of the three components of the Zambian Defence Force. Prior to becoming commander of the Zambian Army, Sikazwe served as the Chief of Operations of the Zambian Army. He was sworn into his new position, by the appointing authority, President Edgar Lungu, the Zambian head of state, on Monday 3 December 2018, at State House, Lusaka. Zambian Defence Force
The Zambian Defence Force is the military of Zambia. It consists of the Zambian Army, the Zambian Air Force, and the Zambia National Service. The defence forces were formed at Zambian independence on 24 October 1964, from constituent units of the dissolved Federation of Rhodesia and Nyasaland Armed Forces.
