Dennis Reeves
Dennis Reeves (born 1 December 1944) is a Scottish former footballer who played as a goalkeeper. Playing career Although born in Scotland, Reeves was to spend his playing career in England and Wales. He was first invited to trials at Chester in 1961, going on to make his debut in The Football League for the club against Rochdale in October 1963.''Where are they now?'', Chester City v Wigan Athletic matchday programme 1992-11-28, p 20 He went on to become a regular in the side for the next three years, a spell that included making a superb one handed save from Bobby Charlton in an FA Cup tie against Manchester United at Old Trafford. After losing his place to Terry Carling during 1966–67, Reeves asked for a transfer and in October 1967 he moved to neighbours Wrexham. But just 15 league appearances followed and he dropped into Non-League football with Wigan Athletic in 1969. Lochmaben
Lochmaben ( Gaelic: ''Loch Mhabain'') is a small town and civil parish in Scotland, and site of a castle. It lies west of Lockerbie, in Dumfries and Galloway. By the 12th century the Bruce family had become the local landowners and, in the 14th century, Edward I rebuilt Lochmaben Castle. It was subsequently taken by Archibald Douglas, 3rd Earl of Douglas in 1384/5 and was abandoned in the early 17th century. The town itself became a Royal Burgh in 1447. Springfield Park (Wigan)
Springfield Park was a multi-purpose stadium in Wigan, Greater Manchester. It was the home ground of Wigan Athletic F.C. until the club moved to the new JJB Stadium (now DW Stadium) after the 1998–99 season. At its largest, the stadium held 40,000. In its 102-year existence the ground only saw 32 years as a Football League venue, 11 years for Wigan Borough F.C. and 21 years for Wigan Athletic FC, before it was demolished to make way for a housing estate in 1999. The stadium had previously been home to Wigan County, Wigan United, Wigan Town, and Wigan Borough (previously Wigan United and Wigan Association) as well as Wigan and Springfield Borough rugby league sides. The Northern Premier League is an English football league that was founded in 1968. It has four divisions: the Premier Division (which stands at level 7 of the English football league system), Division One East, Division One West and Division One Midlands (which stand at level 8). The Football Association Challenge Trophy, commonly known as the FA Trophy, is a men's football knockout cup competition run by and named after the English Football Association and competed for primarily by semi-professional teams.
