Dennis Moeller
Dennis Michael Moeller (born September 15, 1967) is a former Major League Baseball pitcher who played for the Kansas City Royals and Pittsburgh Pirates from 1992 to 1993. Before professional baseball Prior to being drafted, Moeller attended Cleveland High School in Reseda, California. He then went on to attend Los Angeles Valley College, and was drafted from there in the 17th round of the 1986 amateur draft. Professional baseball Moeller began his professional career in 1986 with the Eugene Emeralds. Used almost entirely as a starter (14 appearances, 11 starts), he went 4-0 with a 3.06 ERA, striking out 65 batters in 61 innings of work. The following year, Moeller pitched for the Appleton Foxes, going 2-5 with a 7.20 ERA in 18 games (13 starts). In baseball, the pitcher is the player who throws ("pitches") the baseball from the pitcher's mound toward the catcher to begin each play, with the goal of retiring a batter, who attempts to either make contact with the pitched ball or draw a walk. Kelly Gruber
Kelly Wayne Gruber (born February 26, 1962) is a former Major League Baseball (MLB) third baseman. Early life Gruber was born on February 26, 1962. Gruber played baseball at Westlake High School in Austin, Texas, where his number was later retired. Early career He was drafted by the Cleveland Indians in the 1st round (10th pick) of the 1980 amateur draft but did not sign with the team. On December 5, 1983, the Toronto Blue Jays picked him up in the Rule 5 draft. Gruber saw his first MLB action shortly thereafter, playing in his first game on April 20, 1984. Over the next three seasons, he split time between MLB and the minor leagues, earning an everyday spot in the Toronto line-up by 1987.
