Dennis Miller (ice Hockey)
Dennis Miller (born July 25, 1969, in Buffalo, New York, United States), is a former American ice hockey player, coach, and scout. Playing career Miller was a four-year letterman at Vermont under head coach Mike Gilligan, appearing in 128 games and logging 37 points in his career. After graduation, Miller played two games for the ECHL's Louisville Icehawks, and five games for Motor České Budějovice in the Czech Republic. He also played two seasons for the Flint Bulldogs of the Colonial Hockey League and wrapped up his playing with the Fort Worth Fire of the Central Hockey League. Coaching career Miller was hired by his alma mater in 1996 to lead Vermont's women's hockey team to full varsity status, starting competition at the NCAA Division III level as it transitioned to NCAA Division I. Johnstown Chiefs
The Johnstown Chiefs were a minor league ice hockey team located in Johnstown, Pennsylvania, that played in the ECHL. The team was founded in 1987 in the All-American Hockey League, and moved to the East Coast Hockey League (now "ECHL") when that league was formed. The Chiefs lasted for 22 years in Johnstown, and was the last of the founding ECHL teams playing under its original name and in its original city. The Chiefs relocated to Greenville, South Carolina, following the completion of the 2010 season. Franchise history The owners originally wanted to name the team the Jets in honor of a team that had played in Johnstown from 1950 to 1977, mostly in the Eastern Hockey League. However, the old Jets' former owners still held the trademark for the name and refused to allow the new team to use it. Tim Bothwell
Timothy John Bothwell (born May 6, 1955, in Vancouver, British Columbia) is a retired professional ice hockey defenceman, defenseman who played 502 games in the National Hockey League. He played for the New York Rangers, St. Louis Blues, and Hartford Whalers, and several American Hockey League, AHL teams. Before his professional career, he played at Brown University Bears, Brown, where he was a three-time all-Ivy League defenseman, member of the Bruins' 1975-76 NCAA semi-finalists, and captain of the team the next two seasons. The Buffalo Sabres are a professional ice hockey team based in Buffalo, New York. The Sabres compete in the National Hockey League (NHL) as a member of the Atlantic Division in the Eastern Conference. The team was established in 1970, along with the Vancouver Canucks, when the league expanded to 14 teams. The Sabres have played their home games at KeyBank Center since 1996, having previously played at the Buffalo Memorial Auditorium since their inception.
