Dennis L. Freeman
Dennis Lester Freeman (March 22, 1939 – May 31, 2020) was an American politician who served as a member of the Iowa House of Representatives for six years, from 1969 to 1975. Early life and career Freeman was born in Paton, Iowa. He worked in the insurance industry. He served in the Iowa House of Representatives from 1969 to 1975 as a Republican. Personal life Freeman attended Gustavus Adolphus College and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in 1961. He married Mary Lou Hawkinson the following year on June 10, 1962, and together they had four children. The Iowa House of Representatives is the lower house of the Iowa General Assembly, the upper house being the Iowa Senate. Parkinson's disease (PD), or simply Parkinson's, is a long-term degenerative disorder of the central nervous system that mainly affects the motor system. The symptoms usually emerge slowly, and as the disease worsens, non-motor symptoms become more common. The most obvious early symptoms are tremor, rigidity, slowness of movement, and difficulty with walking. Cognitive and behavioral problems may also occur with depression, anxiety, and apathy occurring in many people with PD. Parkinson's disease dementia becomes common in the advanced stages of the disease. Those with Parkinson's can also have problems with their sleep and sensory systems.
