Dennis Allen (American Football)
Dennis James Allen (born September 22, 1972) is an American football coach who is the head coach of the New Orleans Saints of the National Football League (NFL). He served as head coach of the Oakland Raiders from 2012 to 2014. Allen also previously coached for the Denver Broncos, New Orleans Saints, Atlanta Falcons, University of Tulsa and his alma mater, Texas A&M University. In 2022, Allen was promoted to head coach of the Saints after spending the previous seven seasons as the team's defensive coordinator. Early life and playing career Born in Atlanta, Allen grew up in Hurst, Texas near Fort Worth and graduated from L. D. Bell High School. Allen attended Texas A&M University and played as a safety on R. C. Slocum's "Wrecking Crew" defense. Allen made an interception in the fourth quarter that secured an 18–9 win for Texas A&M over rival Texas. Dennis Bruce Allen (7 November 1951 – 13 April 1987) was an Australian drug dealer who was reported to have murdered many victims. He was based in Melbourne, and was the oldest son of criminal matriarch Kath Pettingill. Allen, whose solicitor was Andrew Fraser, avoided jail by having info on the corrupt Victorian police at the time. Dennis Allen (footballer)
Dennis James Allen (2 March 1939 – 9 July 1995) was an English football player and manager. Born in Romford, Allen represented Charlton Athletic (1956–1961), Reading (1961–1970) and Bournemouth & Boscombe Athletic (1970–1971) as an inside-forward. He scored 89 goals in 358 league appearances. Dennis went on to be player-manager at Cheltenham Town. His brother Les (b. 1937), son Martin (b. 1965), grandson Charlie Allen (b. 1992), great-nephew Oliver (b. 1986) and nephews Bradley (b. 1971), Clive (b. 1961) and Paul Allen (b. 1962) all played football professionally. Dennis Roy Allen (June 10, 1940 – December 1, 1995) was an actor and comedian. He was a regular cast member on ''Rowan and Martin's Laugh-In'', and appeared on ''Love American Style''. He starred opposite Ruth Buzzi in Gene Kelly's production of '' ClownAround''. He died of lung cancer at the age of 55. Life and career Born and raised in Raytown, Missouri, Allen earned a Bachelor and Master degrees from the Boston University College of Fine Arts. After completing his education, he moved to New York and began his career performing in an Off-Broadway music revue of material by Julius Monk in the Plaza 9 club at the Plaza Hotel. He spent next four years performing sketch comedy in New York clubs, and working as an actor in radio and television commercials. In 1968, Allen was cast as Calvin Coolidge in William F.
