Denmark In The Eurovision Song Contest 2010
Denmark participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 2010 with the song " In a Moment like This" written by Thomas G:son, Henrik Sethsson and Erik Bernholm. The song was performed by Chanée and N'evergreen. The Danish broadcaster DR organised the national final ''Dansk Melodi Grand Prix 2010'' in order to select the Danish entry for the 2010 contest in Oslo, Norway. Ten songs competed in a televised show where the winner was selected over three rounds of voting. The results of the first round were decided upon through the combination of jury voting and public voting while the results in the second and third round were determined solely by public televoting. "In a Moment like This" performed by Chanée and N'evergreen was the winner after gaining the most public votes in the third round. Gigantium
The Gigantium (called ''Sparekassen Danmark Arena'' for sponsoring reasons), in Aalborg, Denmark, is a large, rentable faire building, which hosts a large variety of concerts, markets and exhibitions, among other things. It has a capacity of 5,000 people. For concerts, the capacity is 8,500 people. In addition, there is an ice rink/arena for training purposes, a swimming pool and an athletics hall within the sports complex. The main arena building was severely damaged by a fire on 5 July 2017. Bent Fabricius-Bjerre (7 December 1924 – 28 July 2020), better known internationally as Bent Fabric, was a Danish pianist and composer. Charlotte Fenger (born 2 December 1961), known by the stage name Søs Fenger, is a Danish vocalist, guitarist, and songwriter. Since the mid 1980s she has been one of the most successful names in Danish music. She has released numerous albums, both as a solo artist and in collaboration with other groups. Keld Heick
Keld Heick (born 24 February 1946 in Frederiksberg) is a Danish singer, songwriter and musician. He is best known for his contribution to the Dansk Melodi Grand Prix, where he has submitted over 30 songs. In 1963 Heick formed the band ''Keld & the Donkeys''. The band's big breakthrough came in 1966 with the song "Ved landsbyens gadekær" (eng. "At the village pond"). In 1976 he decided to merge his professional and personal life, when he made a duo with his wife Hilda Heick. They made their debut with the hit "Do you speak English?" and later had another hit with "Jeg ringer på fredag" (eng. "I'll call you this Friday").
