Denis Saifutdinov
Denis Damirovich Saifutdinov (russian: Денис Дамирович Сайфутдинов; born 2 June 1981''Świat Żużla'', No 1 (74) / 2008, pages 30-31, ) is a Russian motorcycle speedway rider who rode in the 2002 Speedway World Cup for Russia. Saifutdinov was born into a Tatar family. His parents are Damir and Tamara; his brother, Emil Saifutdinov (born 1989) is also a speedway rider. Emil is a current member of Russia's national team, who won the Individual Speedway Junior World Championship in 2007 and 2008. Denis Saifutdinov was 15th in the 2002 Individual Speedway Junior World Championship and scored 2 points. History of speedway in Łódź Tramwajarz Łódź and DKS Łódź Speedway in Łódź began in 1948 with two clubs called Tramwajarz Łódź (tram drivers) and DKS Łódź. Both Tramwajarz and DKS competed in the inaugural 1948 Polish speedway season. Three years later the club moved to Bytom and changed their name to Ogniwo, before returning a year later. Motorcycle speedway, usually referred to simply as speedway, is a motorcycle sport involving four and sometimes up to six riders competing over four anti-clockwise laps of an oval circuit. The motorcycles are specialist machines that use only one gear and have no brakes. Racing takes place on a flat oval track usually consisting of dirt, loosely packed shale, or crushed rock (mostly used in Australia and New Zealand). Competitors use this surface to slide their machines sideways, powersliding or broadsiding into the bends. On the straight sections of the track, the motorcycles reach speeds of up to . Emil Damirovich Sayfutdinov (russian: link=no, Эмиль Дамирович Сайфутдинов; born 26 October 1989) is a Russian motorcycle speedway rider and member of the Russia national speedway team. He is a three times World team champion, twice World Junior champion and a two-time winner of the European Championships in 2014 and 2015. Career history ;2005 Sayfutdinov gained his speedway licence in 2005, just before his 16th birthday. He started his career in the Russian league with Mega-Lada Togliatti. The Speedway Under-21 World Championship is an annual speedway event held each year organized by the International Motorcycling Federation (FIM) since 1977. As of 2022, the title was awarded to the winner of the SGP2 category at the FIM Speedway World Championship.
