Denis Sergeyevich Biryukov (russian: Денис Сергеевич Бирюков; born ) is a Russian male volleyball player. He is part of the Russia men's national volleyball team at the 2010 FIVB Volleyball Men's World Championship. On club level he plays for Dinamo-LO. Russia Men's National Volleyball Team
The Russia men's national volleyball team is governed by the Russian Volleyball Federation and took part in international volleyball competitions. FIVB considers Russia as the inheritor of the records of Soviet Union (1948–1991) and CIS (1992). The USSR Volleyball Federation joined the FIVB in 1948, a year after the foundation of the international governing body. The Fédération Internationale du Sport Universitaire (FISU, en, International University Sports Federation) is responsible for the organization and governance of worldwide sports competitions for student-athletes between the ages of 17 and 25. The Universiade is an international multi-sport event, organized for university athletes by the International University Sports Federation (FISU). The name is a portmanteau of the words "University" and "Olympiad".
