Denbigh School
Denbigh School is a Secondary school, secondary Academy (English school), academy school in Shenley Church End, Milton Keynes in south central England. History The original Denbigh School opened September 1964 where half of Walton High's students were part of the initial intake for the school, which was located on land at the northern end of Cornwall Grove in Bletchley, Milton Keynes, Bletchley. In the 1980s, the Local Education Authority resolved to relocate either Denbigh or (nearby) Lord Grey School (Formerly Wilton) to Shenley Church End, a few miles to the north. Eventually Denbigh was chosen to move. In 1991-1992 term years 8 and 9 were located at the new school and other years located at the old one, the school was still in the process of being built at the time. All years moved into the new school in July 1992. Academy (English School)
An academy school in England is a state-funded school which is directly funded by the Department for Education and independent of local authority control. The terms of the arrangements are set out in individual Academy Funding Agreements. Most academies are secondary schools, though slightly more than 25% of primary schools (4,363 as of December 2017) are academies. Academies are self-governing non-profit charitable trusts and may receive additional support from personal or corporate sponsors, either financially or in kind. Technology College
In the United Kingdom, a Technology College is a specialist school that specialises in design and technology, mathematics and science. Beginning in 1994, they were the first specialist schools that were not CTC colleges. In 2008, there were 598 Technology Colleges in England, of which 12 also specialised in another subject. History The Education Reform Act 1988 made technology mandatory, however the Conservative government were unable to afford the cost of funding schools to teach the subject. David Moyo
David Philani Moyo (born 17 December 1994) is a Zimbabwean professional footballer who plays as a forward for EFL League Two club Barrow, and he represents the Zimbabwe national team. Career Moyo started a two-year scholarship with Northampton Town in the summer of 2011 after joining from AFC Dunstable. Gregory James Rutherford MBE (born 17 November 1986) is a retired British track and field athlete who specialised in the long jump. He represented Great Britain at the Olympics, World and European Championships, and England at the Commonwealth Games. In September 2021 Rutherford was selected as part of the British bobsleigh team but was injured during preparations to qualify for the 2022 Winter Olympics. Edward Nicholas Slater (born 1 August 1988) is a former English rugby union player who played at lock. Following a diagnosis of motor neurone disease in July 2022, Slater retired from professional rugby.
