''Den som henger i en tråd'' (Those Hanging by a Thread) is a 1935 novel by the Norwegian new realist author Nini Roll Anker.Hojem, Gunnar. 1996. Lyngværet – slik jeg minnes det. The book portrays a women's working atmosphere in a group of seamstresses at a clothing factory and the poor conditions they worked under. The book discusses topics such as abortion, religion, and the position of women. The book is one of the most important contributions to Norwegian women's literature. The novel was adapted for television in 1980 based on a screenplay by Åse Vikene and was broadcast as a series by the Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation. Nini Roll Anker
Nini Roll Anker (3 May 1873 – 20 May 1942) was a Norwegian novelist and playwright. Her books often concerned the lives of women within different social classes as well as the women's rights movement and the rights of the working class. Personal life Nicoline Magdalene Roll was born at Molde in Møre og Romsdal, Norway. She was the daughter of stipendiary magistrate and later member of parliament and minister Ferdinand Nicolai Roll. The family moved to Kristiania (now Oslo) and for a period of time resided in Stockholm while her father served as the Minister of Justice and Supreme Court Attorney. She was married twice, first in 1892 to land owner Peter Martin Anker (1863–1939), a son of politician Nils Anker. After a divorce in 1907, she married his cousin, engineer and sailor Johan August Anker in 1910. The couple settled at Lillehaugen in Asker. Katja Medbøe
Katja Maria Riosianu Medbøe (3 December 1945 – c. 13 November 1996) was a Norway, Norwegian actress. She graduated from the Norwegian National Academy of Theatre in 1968, and acted both at Den Nationale Scene and at the Nationaltheatret, National Theatre. Medbøe was best known for her role in the ''Hustruer''-trilogy (Wives), along with Frøydis Armand and Anne Marie Ottersen. She also released records with poetry readings set to music. In December 1996, Medbøe's sister, Wenche Medbøe, announced that Katja had been missing for three weeks, and made a public appeal for tips. As a result of a head injury she had experienced pain from the stage lighting. On 12 November she had left the hospital and not been seen since. On 3 May 1997, she was found dead in Nordmarkaa forest area north of Oslo. Medbøe had two children. The cause of death was, according to her daughter, Eline Medbøe, suicide. Anne Marit Jacobsen (born 7 November 1946) is a Norwegian stage and film actress. She was born in Oslo as the daughter of sculptor Thorbjørn Sigurd Jacobsen and opera singer Randi Heide Steen. Birte Fosheim Wienskol (20 March 1956 – 7 June 2018), better known as Minken Fosheim, was a Norwegian actress and author, best known for her children's books about famous composers, and her role as Vigdis Reverud in the 1990s sitcom '' Karl & Co''.
