Dempo Sports Club, or simply known as Dempo, is an Indian professional association football, football club based in Panjim, Goa, that competes in the Goa Professional League. The club is owned and sponsored by the Dempo, Dempo Mining Corporation Limited. Duler Stadium
Duler Stadium is a football stadium located in Mapusa, Goa, India. It is the former home of local I-League clubs who participated in the highest level of football in the country. Dempo SC, Salgaocar FC, and Sporting Clube de Goa use the venue for most of their home games. It also serves as home ground for other Goa Professional League clubs such as Vasco. 2009–10 I-League
This season marks the addition of four new teams, with Lajong SSC, Pune FC, Salgaocar Sports Club and Viva Kerala are confirmed to participate in the I-League. With the inception of these four clubs, many club transfers have been undergone within India, and around the world. The length of the regular season will be longer than in previous years, with 26 rounds rather than 22. Mohun Bagan Athletic Club is an Indian professional sports club based in Kolkata, West Bengal. Founded in 1889, its football section is one of the oldest in India and Asia. Bob Bootland
Robert Allison Bootland (died 13 June 2007) was an English professional football coach active primarily in India. He was the first foreign club coach in India. Bootland was described as "a taskmaster with a no-nonsense attitude." Career Robert Allison Bootland was born in Newcastle upon Tyne, England. He first arrived in India in 1977 as a tourist, and after being invited to watch a senior league game involving Dempo SC, Bootland decided to stay in India and become a full-time professional football coach. Bootland began his football coaching career with Dempo SC, the same club which had inspired his new-found career. Bootland said, " had been to this wonderful land to meet my friend's parents. The International Federation of Football History & Statistics (IFFHS) is an organisation that chronicles the history and records of association football. It was founded in 1984 by Alfredo Pöge in Leipzig. The IFFHS was based in Abu Dhabi for some time but, in 2010, relocated to Bonn, Germany, and then in 2014 to Zürich.
