Demos Christou
Demos Christou (Greek: Δήμος Χρήστου) (born 1937) is a Cypriot archaeologist and Director of the Department of Antiquities from 1991 to 1997. He was born in the village of Galini. He studied history and archaeology at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, and continued his studies at the UCL Institute of Archaeology and the École du Louvre. In 1997 he earned his doctoral degree from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens with a dissertation on the funerary architecture of Cypriot tombs. Greek Language

Department Of Antiquities (Cyprus)
The Department of Antiquities is a government department of the Republic of Cyprus with responsibility for archaeological research and cultural heritage management. It was established in 1935 by the British colonial government. The department is headed by the Director of the Department of Antiquities, next in line is the position of the Director of the Cyprus Museum and following that, the Curator of Monuments. It has conducted excavations at Khoirokoitia, Kition, Amathus, Kourion, Paphos, Salamis, Enkomi and carried multiple rescue excavations all around the island. The Department publishes yearly the Report of the Department of Antiquities Cyprus (RDAC) and the Annual Report of the Department of Antiquities Cyprus (ARDAC). Galini, Cyprus
Galini ( el, Γαληνή; tr, Ömerli) is a deserted village in Cyprus, north-west of Lefka in the Morphou Bay area. It is under the ''de facto'' control of Northern Cyprus. History In the census of 1960, Galini had an exclusively Greek Cypriot Greek Cypriots or Cypriot Greeks ( el, Ελληνοκύπριοι, Ellinokýprioi, tr, Kıbrıs Rumları) are the ethnic Greek population of Cyprus, forming the island's largest ethnolinguistic community. Kourion
Kourion ( grc, Koύριov; la, Curium) was an important ancient Greek city-state on the southwestern coast of Cyprus. In the twelfth century BCE, after the collapse of the Mycenaean palaces, Greek settlers from Argos arrived on this site. In the seventeenth century, Kourion suffered from five heavy earthquakes, but the city was mostly rebuilt. The acropolis of Kourion, located 1.3 km southwest of Episkopi and 13 km west of Limassol, is located atop a limestone promontory nearly 100 metres high along the coast of Episkopi Bay.
