Demofest
Demofest is an annual music festival held at the Kastel Fortress in Banja Luka, the second largest city in Bosnia and Herzegovina. It was founded in 2008 with the aim to provide young Unsigned artist, unsigned bands with an opportunity to develop and revive the rock scene of Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia, former Yugoslavia. Today, it is the biggest festival of unsigned bands in Southeast Europe, Southeastern Europe and one of the biggest festivals in this region. Demofest consists of competitive and non-competitive program. Competition is open to all unsigned Rock and roll, rock, Punk rock, punk, Pop music, pop, Metal music, metal, hip hop or reggae bands originating from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia, Montenegro or North Macedonia. Banja Luka
Banja Luka ( sr-Cyrl, Бања Лука, ) or Banjaluka ( sr-Cyrl, Бањалука, ) is the second largest city in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the largest city of Republika Srpska. Banja Luka is also the ''de facto'' capital of this entity. Majke
Majke ("mothers") are a cult Croatia, Croatian rock band. Founded in 1984 in Vinkovci, Majke were one of the many bands to appear in a town that had a particularly vibrant rock and alternative scene. The band started playing under the influence of bands like: MC5, Flamin' Groovies, Steppenwolf (band), Steppenwolf, The Stooges, New York Dolls, Motörhead and many others. Dubioza kolektiv (also known simply as Dubioza) is a Bosnian avant-garde dub rock group known for their crossover style that incorporates elements of hip hop, dub, ska, reggae, rock, punk, electronic music, and Balkan music, and for their socially and politically conscious songwriting with lyrics in multiple languages. In 2015, Dubioza kolektiv was referred to as the most popular Bosnian musical act. History Dubioza kolektiv was formed in 2003 by Brano Jakubović, Vedran Mujagić, Almir Hasanbegović and Adis Zvekić with the merger of two musical groups, ''Ornament'' and ''Gluho doba''. Kiril Džajkovski
Kiril Džajkovski (Djaikovski), ( mk, Кирил Џајковски ) – often credited as simply Kiril – is an internationally acclaimed Macedonian electronic musician and music composer. Biography In the early 1980s together with Milčo Mančevski he formed Bastion, one of the first electronic bands in the then Socialist Republic of Macedonia within SFR Yugoslavia. Subsequently, he went on to play with one of the most famous Macedonian bands Leb i sol, recording two albums and touring extensively around the Balkans and the rest of Europe. Asian Dub Foundation (ADF) is an English electronic music band that combines musical styles including rap rock, dub, dancehall, ragga, and South Asian music. Triggerfinger is a Belgian rock band from Lier, Belgium, formed in 1998. The band consists of vocalist and guitarist Ruben Block, bassist Paul Van Bruystegem and Mario Goossens (formerly of Winterville) as drummer. Musical career The band gained popularity while performing prior to the band's debut album. Fun Lovin' Criminals are an American rap rock band from New York City. Kelis Rogers-Mora (; born August 21, 1979), known mononymously as Kelis, is an American singer, songwriter and a professionally trained chef. At age 14, she was admitted to New York's Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts, where she learned to play the saxophone and won a spot in the Girls Choir of Harlem. After she graduated from high school in 1997, Kelis took on a variety of jobs before landing a backup vocal slot on an album track called "Fairytalez", released by the American hip hop group Gravediggaz. Stereo MC's are an English hip hop/ electronic dance group which formed in Nottingham, England, in 1985. They had an international top 20 hit with their single "Connected". After releasing eight albums for Island Records, K7, Graffiti Recordings, and Pias, they formed the label Connected with Terranova to release their own material and that of other artists within the house/techno/electronic medium. Kosheen are a British electronic music group based in Bristol, United Kingdom. The group consist of singer-songwriter Sian Evans, songwriter-producer Markee Ledge and producer-songwriter Darren Decoder. The name Kosheen derives from the name of a North American Apache warrior, Cochise.
