Demino Ski Marathon
The Demino Ski Marathon (russian: Дёминский лыжный марафон) is a cross-country skiing marathon in Russia. It has been held since 2007 and was appointed as a Worldloppet event in June 2012. It is the most popular ski race in Russia (1402 participants in 2015). The Demino Ski Marathon has been a member of the Russialoppet since 2008. The main distance is 50 km free style, in one or two laps. Rybinsk ( rus, Рыбинск, p=ˈrɨbʲɪnsk), the second largest types of inhabited localities in Russia, city of Yaroslavl Oblast in Russia, lies at the confluence of the Volga River, Volga and Sheksna Rivers, 267 kilometers north-north-east of Moscow. Sergey Shiryayev
Sergey Yuryevich Shiryayev (russian: Серге́й Юрьевич Ширя́ев, born 8 February 1983) is a Russian cross-country skier who competed between 2002 and 2015. His best finish at the FIS Nordic World Ski Championships was 11th in the 15 km event (9.3 miles) at the 2007 event in Sapporo, but that result was declared null and void upon announcing Shiryayev's disqualification for doping on EPO at the last day of the championships on 4 March 2007. His case was heard at the FIS Council meeting in Portorož, Slovenia in May 2007, resulting in a two-year suspension from the sport. Two other coaches also received sanctions from the Russian Ski Federation. Shiryayev's best World Cup finish was third in a 30 km mixed pursuit event (18.6 miles) in Russia in January 2010. Yevgeny Alexandrovich Dementyev (russian: Евге́ний Александрович Деме́нтьев, born 17 January 1983 in Tayozhny, Khanty–Mansi Autonomous Okrug) is a Russian cross-country skier. He attended Children and Youth Sports School of Sovetsky District, Khanty–Mansi Autonomous Okrug, where his first trainer was Valery Ukhov. Dementyev's first international success was in 2001 at the Junior World Championship. He won two medals at the 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin, with a gold in the men's 15 km + 15 km pursuit event and a silver in the men's 50 km freestyle mass start. Anders Aukland
Anders Aukland (born 12 September 1972 in Tønsberg) is a professional Norwegian cross-country skier who has won both Olympic and World Championship gold medals. He lives in Oslo. Aukland also used to compete in athletics, and is a former national champion in 5000 meters (1995) and 10,000 metres (1996 and 1997) as well as cross-country running. He has represented Tønsberg FIK and IK Tjalve. In his only international athletics competition he finished seventh in 5000 m at the 1991 European Junior Championships. Aukland received the Egebergs Ærespris in 2001. On 7 March 2004, Aukland won the Vasaloppet in Sweden, becoming the second Norwegian to accomplish this feat after 1971 winner Ole Ellefsæter.
