Modeste Demers
Modeste Demers (11 October 1809 – 28 July 1871) was a Roman Catholic Bishop and missionary in the Oregon Country. A native of Quebec, he traveled overland to the Pacific Northwest and preached in the Willamette Valley and later in what would become British Columbia. Sébastien Demers (born 24 December 1979) is a Canadian former professional boxer who competed from 2004 to 2013 and challenged for the IBF middleweight title in 2007. Dominique Demers (born 23 November 1956) is a French-Canadian novelist, best renowned for her ''Mlle Charlotte'' novel series. She holds a PhD in children's literature. Biography When Demers was seventeen, she moved to Montreal and enrolled at McGill University, where she obtained a bachelor's degree in children's literature.
