Demelash Gebremichael
Demelash Gebremichael is an Ethiopian politician who is serving as the Commissioner General of the Ethiopian Federal Police, he was appointed to the rank by Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed since 8 November 2020. Before he became the commissioner general of the federal police, he was the Director General of the National Intelligence and Security Service (NISS) from 28 June 2019 to 8 November 2020. Office position After Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed made Demelash Gebremichael General Commissioner of the Federal Police Commission, he also made Temesgen Tiruneh the Director of the National Intelligence and Security Service (NISS). Ethiopian Federal Police
The Ethiopian Federal Police (EFP) is the law enforcement agency of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia. Established in 1995, the agency aims with objectives of maintaining or safeguarding the public security, human and democratic rights, and respecting constitutional law. Abiy Ahmed
Abiy Ahmed Ali ( om, Abiyi Ahmed Alii; am, አብይ አሕመድ ዐሊ; born 15 August 1976) is an Ethiopian politician who has been the 4th prime minister of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia since 2 April 2018. He won the 2019 Nobel Peace Prize for his work in ending the 20-year post-war territorial stalemate between Ethiopia and Eritrea. Abiy was the third chairman of the Ethiopian People's Revolutionary Democratic Front (EPRDF) that governed Ethiopia for 28 years and the first Oromo in that position. The National Intelligence and Security Service (NISS) () is an intelligence agency of the Ethiopian federal government tasked with gathering information of national interests. It does counter-terrorism in the country by informing the federal police, gathering intelligence for the Ethiopian National Defense Force, and information for local law enforcement. Temesgen Tiruneh is the director general of Ethiopia's National Intelligence and Security Service. On 8 November 2020, Temesgen Tiruneh was appointed to the position of director general of NISS by Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed, in the midst of the Tigray War.
