Delhi University Students Union, generally abbreviated as DUSU, is a students' union at the Delhi University, University of Delhi. It is primarily responsible for building and preserving a healthy political culture and an atmosphere of open debates on the campus. Students are kept informed about the public meetings, discussions and other issues through pamphlets and notices. The Students' Union has four central panel positions. These are the posts of President, Vice President, Secretary and Joint-Secretary DUSU elections The university has a long history of student political activity. Each constituent college of the University of Delhi elects its own students' union annually. In addition, the DUSU exists as an umbrella organisation for those colleges. Several office bearers of DUSU have gone on to hold public office at local, state and national level. All India Students Federation
The All India Students' Federation (AISF) is the oldest surviving student organisation in India, founded in 1936. Pre-independence AISF was founded on 12 August 1936, with guidance and cooperation from the Indian independence movement. The foundation conference of the AISF was held at Ganga Prasad Memorial Hall in Lucknow, with 936 delegates from across India. The conference was inaugurated by Jawaharlal Nehru, and presided over by M.A. Jinnah. The conference resolved to establish an All India Students' Federation, and Prem Narayan Bhargava was elected as the first general secretary. The second conference of the AISF was held three months later, beginning on 22 November 1936 in Lahore. It mainly discussed and adopted the constitution of the AISF. All India Democratic Students' Organisation (AIDSO) is a student organisation in India. It was founded on 28 December 1954, and is affiliated with the Socialist Unity Centre of India (Communist). Its motto is ''struggle, unity, progress''. Basic outlook The AIDSO aims to fight against injustice, oppression and exploitation and promote social transformation. Alka Lamba
Alka Lamba (born 21 September 1975) is an Indian politician serving for the Indian National Congress. After serving the Indian National Congress in various capacities for more than 20 years, she quit to join the Aam Aadmi Party on 26 December 2014. Vijay Goel (born 4 January 1954) is an Indian politician and a former Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs and Statistic and Implementation in the NDA government.
