Delhi Ring Railway
The Delhi Ring railway, a part of Delhi's suburban railway services, is a circular railway network in Delhi that runs parallel to the Ring Road. It was laid in 1975 primarily to service freight trains that could bypass the crowded and passenger-heavy Old Delhi and New Delhi railway stations. The network was upgraded for the 1982 Asian Games with the introduction of 24 additional services. Its circular route takes trains 90–120 minutes to complete, both clockwise and anti-clockwise via the Hazrat Nizamuddin Railway Station between 8 am and 7 pm. With a return ticket for the entire journey costing , compared to with Delhi Metro, which is around , it is preferred by poor and middle-class families. It runs seven clockwise and six anti-clockwise trains at a peak frequency of 60 to 90 minutes during the morning and evening rush hours. Hazrat Nizamuddin Railway Station
Hazrat Nizamuddin railway station (station code: NZM) is a railway station in South Delhi, India. It is under the administrative control of the Delhi Division of the Northern Railway zone of the Indian Railways. Green Line (Delhi Metro)
The Green Line (Line 5) is a metro rail line of the Delhi Metro, a rapid transit system in Delhi, India. The line consists of 24 stations covering a total length of 28.79  km. It runs between Inderlok and Brigadier Hoshiyar Singh with a branch line connecting the line's Ashok Park Main station with Kirti Nagar station. It is a completely elevated line and runs mostly along the busy NH 9 route in North Delhi and North West Delhi, bypassing Tikri Border to enter Bahadurgarh. Kirti Nagar Metro Station
The Kirti Nagar Metro Station is located on the Blue Line of the Delhi Metro. It is one of the terminus stations of the Green Line, the other being Inderlok. An extension of the Green Line, commuters travelling on the Green Line are able to transfer to Blue Line from this station as well as the Red Line at Inderlok via Ashok Park Main, saving time and money, rather than going all the way to longer routes of Rajiv Chowk and Kashmere Gate. This branch opened on 27 August 2011. A new Metrolite Line is under construction and will be completed by 2025. It will run from Kirti Nagar to Bamnoli Village, with 22 stations. Lajpat Nagar is an interchange station between Violet Line and Pink Line of the Delhi Metro in Delhi. It is located between Jangpura and Moolchand on the Violet Line in Lajpat Nagar. The station was opened with the first section of the Violet Line on 3 October 2010, in time for the Commonwealth Games opening ceremony on the same day.
