Delhi Acers
Delhi Dashers (formerly known as the Delhi Acers) was one of the Badminton teams competing in the Premier Badminton League (PBL). Delhi Dashers have been a part of the PBL since its inception and their best finish arrived in the Season 2 (2016), after defeating Mumbai Rockets in the finals. Owned by Dalmia Cement (Bharat) Ltd., who became the new owners of the franchise from third season onwards, Delhi Dashers finished at the third position in the PBL season III (2017). Dalmia Cement (Bharat) Ltd. became the new owners of the Delhi Dashers franchise from the third edition (2017–18) of PBL. The franchise was discontinued in 2019 by the owners after feeling that it was not one of their core business. Siri Fort Sports Complex
The DDA Siri Fort Sport Complex is a sports stadium in New Delhi, India. It was built for the 1982 Asian Games, next to the Asian Games village by the Delhi Development Authority (DDA), which also runs the facility now. Also close by is the Siri Fort Auditorium complex. Sports Basketball, Swimming Pool, Squash, Pitch and Putt Golf, Billiards, Snooker, Shooting, Skating, Tennis, Badminton Courts, Yoga, Aerobics, Gym, Calisthenics, Football, Cricket, Jogging track etc. 2010 Commonwealth Games The stadium hosted badminton and squash for the Games. The stadium for badminton will have five match courts and three warm-up courts, and the stadium for squash will have 11 singles courts convertible to five doubles courts. 2014 Thomas & Uber Cup The 2014 Thomas & Uber Cup was held on 18–25 May 2014 at the Siri Fort Sports Complex, New Delhi. Premier Badminton League
Premier Badminton League (PBL) is a team badminton league operating in India. Sportz & Live Private Limited (Sportzlive) has the rights to operate and execute the Premier Badminton League. The inaugural season of PBL was held from 2 to 17 January 2016. Delhi Dashers (formerly Delhi Acers) defeated Mumbai Rockets in the final to clinch the title. The second season began on 22 December 2016 and came to end on 14 January 2017 with the Chennai Smashers headed by P. V. Sindhu clinching the title in the finals. The third season began on 23 December 2017 and came to end on 14 January 2018 with Hyderabad Hunters headed by Carolina Marin emerging as the champions. Bengaluru Raptors won the last two editions in 2018-19 and 2020, becoming the only team to win the title twice. Vladimir Ivanov (badminton)
Vladimir Alexandrovich Ivanov (russian: Владимир Александрович Иванов; born 3 July 1987) is a Russian badminton player. He was the champion at the 2014 and 2021 European Championships, and also the 2016 All England Open partnering with Ivan Sozonov. Tommy Sugiarto (born 31 May 1988) is an Indonesian badminton player who is a singles specialist. He was the bronze medalist at the 2014 World Championships. Chai Biao
Chai Biao (; born 10 October 1990) is a Chinese professional badminton player. Chai has concentrated on men's doubles for the majority of his senior career in badminton. His most successful partnership was with Hong Wei: together they reached the year end tournament BWF Superseries Finals in 2014 and 2015. As Hong has since retired, Chai's current partner in men's doubles is Wang Zekang. Career Chai was born in Yanfeng District of Hengyang City in 1990. At the age of 7, he learned badminton from the senior coach of the Badminton Institute in the City Sports School. Maneepong Jongjit ( th, มณีพงศ์ จงจิตร, ; born 21 March 1991) is a Thai badminton player. He studies at Ratna Bundit University. Career Maneepong Jongjit began to attract attention when he competed as a junior with Bodin Isara in men's doubles. Together they made the transition to doubles as senior competitors. Prannoy Haseena Sunil Kumar (born 17 July 1992), also known as H. S. Prannoy, is an Indian badminton player who currently trains at the Gopichand Badminton Academy in Hyderabad.
