Delet Haksamim ( he, דלת הקסמים, lit. "''The magic door''") is an Israeli educational children's television program which deals with road traffic safety intended for its main target audience, primary school students. It was produced by the Israeli Film Service and co-product Israel's Ministry of Education and Ministry of Transport and Road Safety and written Avraham Heffner and Yitzhak Ben Ner. The program was aired in 1974 on the Israeli Educational Television (IETV), since aired in reruns at the 1980s. Background The program follows after a magician called Yehoyakim Kook (Gideon Singer), who taught two siblings, Yoav and Hagar Bergman about road safety through a door to beep each time when someone has non-observance of the road safety laws. Then he is summons and shows them through a magical eye how they misdeeds to be finished with disaster. Avraham Heffner
Avraham Heffner (Hebrew: אברהם הפנר; 7 May 1935 – 19 September 2014) was an Israeli film and television director, screenwriter, author and Professor Emeritus at the Tel-Aviv University. He was a recipient of the Ophir Award for lifetime achievements. Biography Heffner served in the IDF with the Nahal Army Band. After his IDF service, he studied French literature at the Sorbonne, Paris. His love for the cinema began, according to him, at the age of 17. He began his career as an actor (in Uri Zohar's '' Hor BaLevana''). His first movie as director was ''Slow Down'' (1967), an adaptation of a short story by Simone de Beauvoir, which won him the Silver Lion Award at the 1969 Venice Film Festival. Yitzhak Ben Ner
Yitzhak Ben Ner ( he, יצחק בן נר, also transliterated Itzhak Ben-Ner; born July 3, 1937) is an Israeli writer, screenwriter, journalist, and film critic. He has also hosted and edited radio and TV programs. Biography Ben Ner was born in 1937 in Kfar Yehoshua, Israel He attended Tel Aviv University where he studied literature and drama. He started publishing as a boy, and published his first book for adults in 1967. Several books of his have been adapted for theatrical or cinematic productions. Gideon Singer ( he, גדעון זינגר; June 29, 1926 – May 11, 2015) was an Israeli actor and singer. Biography Born in Brno, Singer emigrated with his family from Czechoslovakia to Israel in 1940 and he was a survivor of the Patria shipwreck. Singer lived in Tel Aviv where he started singing as well as learning to play the violin and he also worked as a diamond polisher during his youth. Gideon "Gidi" Gov ( he, גידי גוב; 4 August 1950) is an Israeli singer, TV host, entertainer, and actor. He was married to the late Anat Gov with whom he had three children. Biography Early life Gov was born in Rehovot, Israel, to Daniel and Tzipora Gov. As a child Gov suffered from asthma.
