Ramon Dekkers
Ramon Dekkers (4 September 1969 – 27 February 2013) was a Dutch kickboxer and an eight-time Muay Thai world champion. Dekkers was a favourite with fight fans due to his fast-paced, aggressive fighting style. Dekkers was also renowned for his willingness to go abroad to fight the Thai champions in their own country. Biography Early years Dekkers was born on 4 September 1969 in Breda, Netherlands. He began learning martial arts at age 12, studying judo for half a year. He then switched to boxing. After a couple of years Dekkers started practicing Muay Thai under Cor Hemmers. After finishing his baker education Dekkers joined Maeng Ho Breda Gym. During Dekkers' early days of training his mother was at the gym every day and eventually she and Hemmers fell in love and got married. In the beginning of his career Dekkers' manager was Clovis Depretz, the manager of legendary Rob Kaman. Marijn Emmanuel Dekkers (born 22 September 1957 in Tilburg, Netherlands) is a Dutch-American former pharmaceutical businessman. He was CEO of Bayer AG from 2010 to 2016. He served as CEO of Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. from 2002 to 2009. He served as Chairman of Unilever from 2016 to 2019. He is also Founder and Chairman of Novalis LifeSciences LLC, an investment and advisory firm for the Life Science industry. Marlies Dekkers (; born 29 November 1965 in Oosterhout) is a Dutch fashion designer known for her lingerie line ''Undressed''. Biography She studied at the Art school in Breda, from which she graduated cum laude (with distinction) in 1991. Frank Dekkers (born 1961 in Nijmegen) is a Dutch painter of landscapes. He studied painting and graphics at the Utrecht School of the Arts. His work is influenced by artist Kees Bol, with whom he interned in 1984. Dekkers makes aquarels, paintings and drawings on location and in particular near rivers. Joey Dekkers (born 3 October 1989) is a Dutch footballer who plays as a midfielder for Tweede Divisie club Groene Ster. Club career Dekkers moved into professional football relatively late at 25 years, after joining Achilles '29 in 2015 from amateur side EVV. Before that, the left-sided midfielder played for SVC 2000 and Sportclub Irene. Adriaan "Ad" Dekkers ( Nieuwpoort, South Holland, 21 March 1938 – Gorinchem, 27 February 1974) was a Dutch artist mostly known for his reliefs involving simple geometrical forms. Dekkers was born to Hendrik Pieter Dekkers, a school principal, and Anna Elizabeth Berdina Godtschalk. Adrian attended his father's school and also received training as a decorative painter. Between 1954 and 1958 he studied at the Willem de Kooning Academy in Rotterdam where he was mostly engaged in drawing of landscapes and still images. In February 1960 Dekkers entered military service, and in December 1961 married Machelina Hendrika van Bruggen, with whom he had one son. From the early 1960s Dekkers became dissatisfied with painting and focused on reliefs, mostly made of plastic.
