Dejan Vukićević
Dejan Vukićević (; born 27 April 1968) is a Montenegrin football manager and former player. Playing career Vukićević started out at his hometown side Budućnost Titograd, making his senior debut in the 1987–88 season. He spent five years at the club, before switching to Mogren in 1992. The following year, Vukićević moved abroad to Cyprus to play for Pezoporikos. He subsequently returned to Yugoslavia and stayed for one and a half years with Radnički Beograd, before joining Partizan in the 1996 winter transfer window. With the ''Crno-beli'', Vukićević won back-to-back championships in 1996 and 1997. He then moved to Spain and signed with Sevilla in the 1998 winter transfer window. Before retiring from the game, Vukićević also played for Recreativo in the 1999–2000 Segunda División. Titograd
Podgorica (Cyrillic script, Cyrillic: Подгорица, ; Literal translation, lit. 'under the hill') is the Capital city, capital and List of cities and towns in Montenegro, largest city of Montenegro. The city was formerly known as Titograd (Cyrillic script, Cyrillic: Титоград, ) between 1946 and 1992—in the period that Montenegro formed, as the Socialist Republic of Montenegro in honour of Marshal of Yugoslavia, Marshal Josip Broz Tito. FK Ventspils
FK Ventspils is a Latvian football club, based at Ventspils Olimpiskais Stadions in Ventspils city and is one of the most popular football clubs in the country. The club played in the Latvian Virsliga since 1997. It was abolished in 2020, but has since returned to Latvian football and competes in the Latvian First League as of 2023. 2011–12 Serbian Cup
The 2011–12 Serbian Cup season was the sixth season of the Serbian national football tournament. The competition started on 31 August 2011 and concluded with the Final on May 16, 2012. The winner of the competition qualified for the second qualifying round of the 2012–13 UEFA Europa League. Preliminary round A preliminary round was held in order to reduce the number of teams competing in the next round to 32 and featured 14 teams from Serbian lower divisions. Montenegrin Cup
The Montenegrin Cup ( Montenegrin and Serbian: ''Kup Crne Gore'') is the national football cup played in Montenegro, established in 2006. The winner of the cup is awarded a spot in the second qualifying round of the UEFA Europa League if they have not already gained a spot in the UEFA Champions League. Most successful participant until now was FK Rudar with four titles, followed by FK Budućnost with three and OFK Titograd who won it twice. 2007–08 Montenegrin Cup
The 2007–08 Montenegrin Cup was the second season of the Montenegrin knockout football tournament. The winner of the tournament received a berth in the first qualifying round of the 2008–09 UEFA Cup. The defending champions were Rudar, who beat Sutjeska in the final of the 2006–07 competition. The competition featured 30 teams. It started on 2 October 2007 and ended with the final on 7 May 2008. First round The 14 matches were played on 2 and 3 October 2007. Second round The first legs were played on 24 October and the second legs were played on 7 November 2007, with the exception of the second leg match between Sutjeska and Mogren, which was postponed until 28 November 2007. The First League of Montenegro ( Montenegrin: ''Prva crnogorska fudbalska liga'' — ''Prva CFL'' — ''1. CFL''; ) is the top football league in Montenegro. Founded in 2006, competition is headed by the Football Association of Montenegro. 10 teams participate in this league. The winner of the Montenegrin First League starts the qualifications for the UEFA Champions League from the second round. The second and third placed team and Montenegrin Cup winner play in the qualifying rounds of the UEFA Conference League. 2008–09 Montenegrin First League
The 2008–09 Montenegrin First League was the third season of the top-tier football in Montenegro. The season began on 9 August 2008 and ended on 30 May 2009. The defending champions are Budućnost Podgorica. Teams Mladost Podgorica were directly relegated to the Montenegrin Second League after finishing 12th in last year's standings. Their place was taken by Second League champions Jezero Plav. 10th placed Bokelj Kotor and 11th placed Sutjeska Nikšić had to compete in two-legged relegation play-offs. Bokelj were relegated by losing 1–0 on aggregate against the 3rd placed team from Second League, Jedinstvo Bijelo Polje. 2006–07 Montenegrin First League
The 2006–07 Montenegrin First League season was the inaugural season of the league as Montenegro's top-tier football competition. Although the league existed before, it was previously a second-tier league, underneath the Serbo-Montenegrin First League. Upon the independence of Montenegro, and the establishment of a Montenegrin Football Association, the league became disassociated with the Serbo-Montenegrin league and thus was given its present position. The league played its first games of the season on 12 August 2006 and its final matches were played on 26 May 2007. On 26 May, after their final match, FK Zeta were confirmed as the league's first ever champions under the new FA, and thus qualified as the country's first ever UEFA Champions League competitor. The 1996–97 First League of FR Yugoslavia was the fifth season of the FR Yugoslavia's top-level football league since its establishment. Overview For the fourth season in a raw that the league was divided in 2 groups, A and B, consisting each of 10 clubs. Both groups were played in league system.
