Dejan Nemec (born 1 March 1977) is a Slovenian former professional footballer who played as a goalkeeper. Club career Nemec played for Mura between 1995 and 2000 and in Belgium for Club Brugge between 2000 and 2003. International career Nemec played for the Slovenia national football team (1 cap against Honduras in 2002) and was the third goalkeeper (behind Marko Simeunovič and Mladen Dabanovič) at the Euro 2000 and 2002 FIFA World Cup team squad. Murska Sobota (, Slovenian abbreviation: ''MS'' ; german: Olsnitz;''Radkersburg und Luttenberg'' (map, 1:75,000). 1894. Vienna: K.u.k. It is the centre of the Municipality of Murska Sobota near the Mura River in the region of Prekmurje and is the regional capital. 2000 UEFA European Football Championship
The 2000 UEFA European Football Championship, also known as Euro 2000, was the 11th UEFA European Championship, a football tournament held every four years and organised by UEFA, the sport's governing body in Europe. The finals tournament was played between 10 June and 2 July 2000, and co-hosted by Belgium and the Netherlands, the first time the tournament had been held in more than one nation. Spain and Austria also bid to host the event. The Prekmurje Slovenes ( sl, Prekmurci,''Prekmürci, Prekmörci, Prekmörge'') are Slovenes from Prekmurje in Slovenia and Vendvidék and Somogy in Hungary. The Prekmurje Slovenes speak the Prekmurje Slovene dialect and have a common culture. The Hungarian Slovenes ''(Porabski Slovenci)'' and Somogy Slovenes also speak the Prekmurje Slovene dialect. Origins The Prekmurje Slovenes are descendants of the Slovenes of Lower Pannonia (Slovene ''Spodnja Panonija'', Prekmurje dialect ''Spoudnja Panonija'', hu, Alsó-Pannónia), who were vassals of the Frankish Empire in the 9th century.
