''Deivamagal'' ( God's daughter) is an Indian Tamil-language soap opera starring Vani Bhojan and Krishna. It was broadcast on Sun TV initially from Monday to Friday and later extended to Saturday at 8 PM from 25 March 2013 to 17 February 2018 for 1,466 episodes. The show replaced S. Kumaran's successful soap, Thirumathi Selvam and replaced by Nayagi. Deivamagal is currently retelecasting in Kalaignar TV from 1 March 2021 and later extended to Saturday at 07:00PM. The show is produced by Vikatan Televistas Pvt Ltd and director by S. Kumaran. This serial was shot in Pollachi, Chennai, Chengalpet, Hyderabad, Kerala, Puducherry, Cuddalore and Climax scene shot in One Island. This is the first TV serial shot in the Bay of Bengal. Vani Bhojan (born 28 October 1988) is an Indian actress who works in Tamil cinema. She made her Telugu film debut with ''Meeku Maathrame Cheptha'' in 2019 and her Tamil film debut with '' Oh My Kadavule'' in 2020. Krishna is an Indian film and television actor. He is best known for playing the lead role in the Deivamagal as Prakash which telecasted on Sun TV. Early life and education Krishna was born in Chennai. His parents had migrated from Tamil Nadu to New Delhi after his birth, and he grew up in New Delhi. He obtained his formal education from Kendriya Vidyalaya and Birla Institute of Technology, Noida. He also did a three-month course in acting from Asian Academy of Film & Television (AAFT) Noida. Nayagi () is a 2018 Indian Tamil-language Family Drama series. It premiered on 19 February 2018 on Sun TV, replacing ''Deivamagal'', and was replaced by Anbe Vaa and it ended on 31 October 2020. The Sun Kudumbam Awards is an awards ceremony held to honour the cast and crew of the television serials which air on Sun TV, presented by Sun Network. This is the first time in the Tamil Television industry where awards are given for performances in Television serials. The first awards ceremony happened in 2010 and it is a biennial award ceremony. Nominations The top four performances in all serials, including the serials that have ended the past year, in different categories are chosen by jurors. During February and March, the nominees are interviewed on Sun TV and viewers are asked to cast their votes by text messaging their favourite actor in each category. ''Ananda Vikatan'' is a Tamil-language weekly magazine published from Chennai, India. History and profile ''Ananda Vikatan'' was started by Late Pudhoor Vaidyanadhaiyar in February 1926 as a monthly publication.
