Defiance (TV Series)
''Defiance'' is an American science fiction western drama television series developed by Rockne S. O'Bannon, Kevin Murphy and Michael Taylor; the series is produced by Universal Cable Productions. The show takes place in a post-apocalyptic future on a radically transformed Earth containing new species, some having arrived from space, many others the result of haphazard contamination by the terraforming technology used by the alien race the Votans, which has transformed native flora and fauna in unforeseen ways. ''Defiance'' was a science fiction-themed persistent world massively multiplayer online third-person shooter developed by Trion Worlds. ''Defiance'' took place on a terraformed Earth several years into the future. It was a tie-in to the Syfy show of the same name. ''Defiance'' is a 2008 American war film directed by Edward Zwick set during the occupation of Belarus by Nazi Germany. ''Iserlohn'' was a cargo ship that was built in 1909 by Reiherstieg Schiffswerfte & Maschinenfabrik, Hamburg, Germany. She was ceded to the United Kingdom in 1919, passing to the Admiralty. Defiance is an American thrash metal band from Oakland, California. They played a technical style of thrash originally evoking bands like Testament, though they would later move on to playing in their own unique, more progressive thrash style. ''Defiance'' is a 1997 video game for Microsoft Windows, developed by American studio Logicware and published by Visceral Productions of Avalon Hill.
