Defense Play
''Defense Play'' is a 1988 American action-drama film directed by Monte Markham, and starring David Oliver, Susan Ursitti, Monte Markham, Eric Gilliom, Jamie McMurray, Jack Esformes, and William Frankfather. The film was released by Trans World Entertainment on September 9, 1988. Plot Professor Vandemeer works on a secret project for the US-Air-Force called DART: a very small helicopter for scouting and defense. When he gets killed, Colonel Denton gets under suspicion. His son Scott and Vandemeers daughter Karen believe in his innocence and search for the true murderer and his motives. Monte Markham
Monte Markham (born June 21, 1935) is an American actor. He has appeared in films, television series and on Broadway. Early life Markham was born in Manatee County, Florida, the son of Millie Content (née Willbur) and Jesse Edward Markham Sr., who was a merchant. He attended Palm Beach State College before graduating from the University of Georgia with a master's degree in theater. John Ingle
John Houston Ingle (May 7, 1928 – September 16, 2012) was an American actor best known for his roles as scheming patriarch Edward Quartermaine in the ABC soap opera ''General Hospital'' and Mr. Threehorn, the father of the main character Cera in the '' Land Before Time''. Career A retired school teacher, Ingle began mainstream acting in 1985 doing various guest appearances; one of his first cinema appearances was a performance of the song "Puzzling Evidence" in the 1986 David Byrne musical, '' True Stories'' (his recording of the song would not be released until 2018). David Oliver (actor)
David Oliver (January 31, 1962 – November 12, 1992) was an American stage, film and television actor. Career Oliver was one of eight children born to Pat and William Oliver in Concord, California. He began his acting career in 1982. From 1983 to 1985, Oliver played the role of Perry Hutchins on the daytime soap opera '' Another World''. In 1986, he played the role of Sam Gardner in the miniseries ''A Year in the Life''. He starred as Chad Anderson in the soap '' Santa Barbara'' (1986). The miniseries then became a regular series in the fall of 1987 on NBC for one season. Oliver's wife in both the miniseries and regular series was played by Sarah Jessica Parker.
