Defence Judge Advocate Corps (Denmark)
The Military Prosecution Service or Judge Advocate General's Corps (, short FAUK) is a Danish independent military prosecutor and the legal branch of the Danish military. It is a Level.I command and is under the Ministry of Defence. The Judge Advocate General ( da, Generalauditør) heads the Defence Judge Advocate Corps. It is located at Kastellet in Copenhagen. The Judge Advocate General and Judge Advocates are members of the military system, but outside the military rank system. The Chief of Defence, otherwise the commander of all Danish military personnel, does not have authority over Judge advocates prosecutors. In a military criminal case the Defence Judge Advocate Corps conducts investigation and decides whether or not a charge should be brought up. Hans Christian Steffensen (22 December 1837 – 4 September 1912) was a Danish politician, jurist and speaker of the Landsting, a chamber of the parliament. Carl Christian Hall (25 February 1812 – 14 August 1888) was a Denmark, Danish politician, statesman. Hall served as the Council President of Denmark (Prime Minister of Denmark, Prime Minister), first from 1857 to 1859 and again from 1860 to 1863. Early life Hall was the son of the highly respected artisan and train-band colonel Mads Hall. He was born at Christianshavn. Andreas Aagesen (Judge Advocate General)
Andreas Aagesen (5 August 1826 – 26 October 1879) was a Danish jurist. Biography Aagesen was educated for the law at Christianshavn and Copenhagen, and interrupted his studies in 1848 to take part in the First Schleswig War, in which he served as the leader of a reserve battalion. In 1855 Aagesen became a professor of jurisprudence at the University of Copenhagen. In 1870 he was appointed a member of the commission for drawing up a maritime and commercial code, and the navigation law of 1882 is mainly his work. In 1879 he was elected a member of the Landsting (one of two chambers of the Danish Parliament, the Rigsdagen); but it is as a teacher at the university that he won his reputation. Aagesen was Carl Christian Hall's successor as lecturer on Roman law at the university, and in this department his research was epoch-making.
