Def Wish Cast (sometimes known as Def Wish Posse or abbreviated to DWC) are a pioneering Australian hip hop group from Western Sydney. Biography Def Wish Cast are an Australian hip hop group who are among the few founders of Australian hip hop, "having created something localised that was revered and is now mythologized." The group also states its hip hop credentials through its lyrics, rapping that they are "always hardcore/ 'cos hardcore means true to the music."Maxwell, Ian. BASIC (Beginners' All-purpose Symbolic Instruction Code) is a family of general-purpose, high-level programming languages designed for ease of use. The original version was created by John G. Kemeny and Thomas E. Kurtz at Dartmouth College in 1963. They wanted to enable students in non-scientific fields to use computers. Sound Unlimited, formerly known as Sound Unlimited Posse and Westside Posse, was an Australian hip hop group from Sydney and the first Australian hip hop act signed to a major label (Sony BMG) during the 1990s. The band's members were: Rosano (El Assassin) and Tina Martinez (who were brother and sister), MC Kode Blue and Vlad DJ BTL. History Westside Posse originated from the western suburbs of Sydney in the Burwood subdivision in 1983. ''Knights of the Underground Table'' is the debut album by the Australian hip hop group Def Wish Cast. It was released in 1993 on CD and cassette by Random Records. The album was recorded in St Clair in Western Sydney. Group members Def Wish and Sereck designed the Def Wish Cast logo that appears on the album artwork. It is one of the first full length Australian hip hop albums. Although the album varies in musical style, it mostly consists of gangsta and ragga hip hop. Throughout the album, the group make various references to Sydney landmarks (such as the Sydney Opera House) and areas such as Penrith, Parramatta, Mount Druitt and St. Marys of Western Sydney.
