Deepan Sivaraman
Deepan Sivaraman is an Indian theatre director, scenographer and academic. He is the founder oOxygen Theatre Companybased in Delhi. He is from Thrissur, Kerala. Sivaraman received Charles Wallace India Trust Award in 2003, ''Kerala Sangeetha Nataka Akademi Award'' and Mahindra Excellence in Theatre Awards' in 2011 and 2010, respectively. Thrissur
Thrissur (), formerly Trichur, also known by its historical name Thrissivaperur, is a city and the headquarters of the Thrissur district in Kerala, India. It is the third largest urban agglomeration in Kerala after Kochi and Kozhikode, and the 21st largest in India. The city is built around a hillock called the Thekkinkaadu Maidaanam which seats a large Hindu Shiva Temple. A theatre practitioner is someone who creates theatrical performances and/or produces a theoretical discourse that informs his or her practical work. National School of Drama (NSD) is a theatre training institute situated at New Delhi, India. It is an autonomous organization under Ministry of Culture, Government of India. It was set up in 1959 by the Sangeet Natak Akademi and became an independent school in 1975. In 2005, it was granted deemed university status, but in 2011 it was revoked. Abhilash Pillai (born 17 May 1969) is an Indian theatre director, both pedagogue and scholar of contemporary Indian theatre. Early life and education Abhilash Pillai was born on 17 May 1969 at Trivandrum to S. R. K. Pillai and Sarada Pillai. In 1991, he completed his Bachelor of Theatre Arts from The School of Drama, University of Calicut and secured third rank. He also completed a three-year Postgraduate Diploma in Dramatics with a specialization in Design and Direction from the National School of Drama, New Delhi, with distinction in 1994.
