Deepak Rao
Deepak Rao is an Indian military trainer and author. He has helped train the Indian Army, Navy, Air Force as well as police forces of major cities and states, for more than 17 years without compensation. For his service in modernization of close quarter battle training, he was awarded commission as Honorary Major of the Indian Territorial Army in 2011. He is acting as a Brand Ambassadors of the Indian Army. Rao has been a trainer for the Indian Army since 1994. He specializes in close-quarters combat, and along with his wife, Seema Rao, invented a new form of reflex shooting, named the Rao System of Reflex Fire, for the Indian Army. Rao is a qualified physician who practices sports medicine. Seema Rao
Seema Rao is popularly known as “Wonder Woman of India” in the Indian media. She is India's first female special forces trainer, having trained Special Forces of India for over two decades without compensation. She is an expert in close quarter battle (CQB) — the art of fighting in tight proximity — and is involved in training various Indian forces. Indian Territorial Army
The Territorial Army (TA) of India is an auxiliary military organisation of part-time volunteers that provides support service to the Indian Army. It is composed of officers, junior commissioned officers, non-commissioned officers and other personnel holding ranks same as Indian Army, who also have civilian occupations. Close-quarters Combat
Close-quarters combat (CQC) or close-quarters battle (CQB) is a tactical situation that involves a physical fight with firearms involved between multiple combatants at short range. It can occur between military units, police/corrections officers and criminal elements, and in other similar situations. In warfare, it usually consists of units or teams of varying size engaging the target or attacking personnel with personal weapons within a distance of up to 100 meters (110 yards), from proximity hand-to-hand combat to close-quarter target negotiation with usually automatic weapons. In the typical close combat scenario, the attackers try a very fast, violent takeover of a vehicle or structure controlled by the defenders, who usually have no easy method to withdraw.
