Dedrique Taylor
Dedrique LaMonte Taylor (born May 1, 1974) is the current college basketball head coach for Cal State Fullerton. He is also a former Arizona State associate head men's basketball coach and a college assistant coach. Early life and education After graduating from Pomona High School in Pomona, California in 1992, Taylor began his college basketball career at Kings River Community College (now Reedley College). He then transferred to NCAA Division II school Armstrong Atlantic State University (now Armstrong State University) in 1994 and played his last two seasons at UC Davis from 1995 to 1997. Taylor graduated from UC Davis in 1997 with a bachelor's degree in sociology and organizational studies and later completed a master's degree in sports administration in 2000 at the United States Sports Academy. Cal State Fullerton Titans Men's Basketball
The Cal State Fullerton Titans men's basketball team is the basketball team that represents California State University, Fullerton in Fullerton, California, United States. The school's team currently competes in the Big West Conference. History In 1978, the Fullerton men's basketball team, coached by Bobby Dye, made it to the Elite 8 in the 1978 NCAA Division I basketball tournament. They were considered the year's Cinderella story as a #7 seed (out of 8). The team defeated University of New Mexico at Tempe, AZ, and then defeated the University of San Francisco before losing to the University of Arkansas in regionals at Albuquerque, New Mexico. Pomona Catholic High School
Pomona Catholic High School is a private, Roman Catholic, co-ed middle school and all-girls high school in Pomona, California, established in 1898. It is located in the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Los Angeles. It is a part of the tri-school community existing between St. Lucy's Priory High School and Damien High School. History Holy Name Academy, a boarding high school for girls, located on Holt Avenue in Pomona, California, closed its doors in June 1948. In September of that year, it was reopened by Monsignor English, pastor of St. Joseph's Church, as a high school for both boys and girls of the parish and surrounding parishes. The 2015–16 NCAA Division I men's basketball season began on November 13. The first tournament was the 2K Sports Classic and ended with the Final Four in Houston April 2–4. The 2013–14 Cal State Fullerton Titans men's basketball team represented California State University, Fullerton during the 2013–14 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. National Invitational Tournament
The National Invitational Tournament (NIT) is a men's college basketball tournament operated by the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA). Played at regional sites and traditionally at Madison Square Garden (Final Four) in New York City each March and April, it was founded in 1938 and was originally the most prestigious post-season showcase for college basketball. The 2021 tournament, in which all games were played in Denton and Frisco, Texas, marked the first time that the NIT's semifinals and championship games were not hosted at Madison Square Garden; MSG won't play host to the games entirely starting in 2023. Over time, it became eclipsed by the NCAA Division I men's basketball tournament, which is now known informally as "March Madness."
