Dedo Mraz
Ded Moroz (russian: Дед Мороз, ; Russian diminutive: russian: Дедушка Мороз, Dedushka Moroz, label=none; sk, Dedo Mráz; pl, Dziadek Mróz) or Morozko (russian: Морозко) is a legendary figure similar to Saint Nicholas, Father Christmas, and Santa Claus who has his roots in Slavic mythology. The tradition of Ded Moroz is mostly spread in East Slavic countries and is an important part of Russian culture. At the beginning of the Soviet era, communist authorities banned Ded Moroz. Nevertheless, he soon became an important part of the Soviet culture. The literal translation of Ded Moroz is Grandfather Frost. Ded Moroz wears a heel-length fur coat, in red or blue, a semi-round fur hat, and ''valenki'' on his feet. He has a long white beard. He walks with a long magic stick and often rides a troika. Dedo Difie Agyarko-Kusi
Dedo Difie Agyarko-Kusi is a Ghanaian politician. She served as Ghana's Ambassador to South Korea. She is a member of the New Patriotic Party. She is the sister of the Emmanuel Kwabena Kyeremateng Agyarko and Boakye Agyarko. She once served as a translator of French and Spanish for UNESCO. Early life and education Agyarko-Kusi attended Wesley Girls' Senior High School. She later went the University of Ghana where she acquired her Bachelor of Arts degree in French. Kusi also holds a masters of law from the University of Paris. Politics Kusi has served as a member of the NPP national council and also parliamentary candidate for Lower Manya Krobo in the Eastern Region. Career Ambassador to South Korea In July 2017, President Nana Akuffo-Addo named Agyarko-Kusi as Ghana's High Commissioner to South Korea. Dedo I, Count Of Wettin
Dedo I, Count of Wettin (c. 950 – 13 November 1009), also known as Dedo I of Wettin, was a son of Theodoric I of Wettin and Jutta of Merseburg. As a young man, Dedo spent his childhood with his relative Rikdag, Margrave of Meissen, Zeitz and Merseburg, and was thus closely related to one of the most influential men of East Saxony. Dedo married, before 985, Thietburga, the daughter of Dietrich of Haldensleben, Margrave of the Nordmark. In the years 974 to 985 Dedo I was involved in the rebellion of Duke Henry II of Bavaria against the Holy Roman Emperor Otto II and later against his son Otto III, until June 985, when the Bavarian Duke was finally subjugated in Frankfurt. In 976 Dedo commanded a Bohemian army, conquered the March of Zeitz and robbed the Bishop's Church. It is alleged that he even took his own mother prisoner. Dedo (woreda)
Dedo is one of the woredas in the Oromia Region of Ethiopia. Part of the Jimma Zone, Dedo is bordered on the south by the Gojeb River which separates it from the Southern Nations, Nationalities and Peoples Region, on the west by Gera, on the north by Kersa, and on the east by Omo Nada. The major town in Dedo is Sheki. Overview The altitude of this woreda ranges from 880 to 3058 meters above sea level. Major peaks include Kora of Lalo Kebele which was the farm land of Ato Atnafu Gelan Chiro and other Haro Gebis of Debele Kebele, Walla of Wala Kebele,Guf of Gaera Kebele and Gaara Muta of Defkela Kebele. Perennial rivers include the Gibe, Unta, Diddibo, Dawar, Diyo, Walla, Laga Misi, Jibitti, Ejjecho, Waro and Offele.
