Dudley Perkins is an American rapper and singer from Oxnard, California. He has released records on Stones Throw Records under his own name and the alias of Declaime. In 2008, he co-founded the SomeOthaShip Connect record label with his partner Georgia Anne Muldrow. Life and career Having begun rapping in 1987, he was featured on The Alkaholiks' 1995 album '' Coast II Coast'' under the Declaime moniker. In 2001, he released ''Andsoitisaid'', his first album as Declaime. Dudley Perkins released '' A Lil' Light'', an album entirely produced by Madlib, on Stones Throw Records in 2003. His second album as Dudley Perkins, titled ''Expressions (2012 A.U.)'', was released in 2006. In 2009, he released ''Holy Smokes'', which was entirely produced by Georgia Anne Muldrow. Otis Jackson Jr. (born October 24, 1973), known professionally as Madlib, is an American DJ, music producer, multi-instrumentalist, and rapper. He is widely known for his collaborations with MF DOOM (as Madvillain), J Dilla (as Jaylib), and Freddie Gibbs (as MadGibbs). Kan Kick
Kankick (also spelled as Kan Kick, real name Ted Hughes) is an American hip-hop producer from Oxnard, Los Angeles. Career Kan Kick grew up in the city of Oxnard, along with several fellow hip-hop musicians including Madlib, Oh No, DJ Romes and Dudley Perkins. In the early 1990s he was an integral part of Lootpack, appearing on several of their tracks. He has also produced some of The Alkaholiks' early tracks. Up Above Records
Up Above Records is an independent hip hop record label based in Long Beach, California, co-founded in 1995 by Doug "Papadoug" Kato and The Visionaries member KeyKool, along with DJ Rhettmatic and Beat Junkies. The label's first release was a 12" single, KeyKool & Rhettmatic's "Can U Hear It". Georgia Anne Muldrow (born 1983) is an American musician from Los Angeles, California. In 2008, she co-founded the SomeOthaShip Connect record label with fellow artist and former husband Dudley Perkins. Life and career Georgia Anne Muldrow grew up in a musical environment of her session musician parents, the jazz guitarist Ronald Muldrow and a singer, now Rickie Byars-Beckwith. In 2006, Muldrow released the debut EP, ''Worthnothings'', on Stones Throw Records. Her first album, ''Olesi: Fragments of an Earth'', was released on the label in that year.
