Debra A. Kemp
Debra A. Kemp (March 7, 1957 – February 8, 2015) was an American author. She wrote historical fiction and drew inspiration for her ''House of Pendragon'' series from the Arthurian legends. She originally studied nursing and earned her degree from Indiana University in 1981. She died in 2015. Family Kemp lived near Indianapolis with her husband. They had two grown children. Literary career Kemp published her first Arthurian literature, Arthurian novel ''The Firebrand (Kemp novel), The Firebrand'' in 2003. It is set after the Battle of Camlann, and features King Arthur's fictional daughter Lin and her early life as a slave in Mordred's household. Highland, Lake County, Indiana
Highland is a town in Lake County, Indiana, United States. The population was 23,727 at the 2010 census. The town was incorporated on April 4, 1910. It is a part of the Chicago metropolitan area and North Township, and is surrounded by Hammond to the north, Munster to the west, Schererville to the south and Griffith to the east. History In 1847, two pioneers from Ohio, Michael and Judith Johnston, became Highland's first settlers. The town slowly expanded until the early 1880s, when the development of Chicago & Atlantic railroad trackage through the town attracted agriculture and manufacturing industries.
