''Debi'' is a 2005 devotional Bengali film directed by Swapan Saha and produced by Mukul Sarkar. It is a remake of Kodi Ramakrishna's ''Ammoru'' (1995). The film features Jisshu Sengupta, Debashree Roy and Rachana Banerjee in the lead roles. Music of the film has been composed by Ashok Bhadra. Rachna Banerjee (born Jhumjhum Rakesh Banerjee; 2 October 1974) also known as Rachana, is an Indian actress, entrepreneur and television presenter. Ammoru () is a 1995 Indian Telugu-language Hindu mythological fantasy film directed by Kodi Ramakrishna. The film is produced by Shyam Prasad Reddy, under M. S. Arts Unit. It stars Ramya Krishna as Goddess Ammoru and Soundarya as her devotee, Bhavani. Suresh, Rami Reddy, Baby Sunaina, Vadivukkarasi, Kallu Chidambaram, and Babu Mohan play supporting roles.
