Elections were held in the organized municipalities in the Algoma District of Ontario on October 27, 2014 in conjunction with municipal elections across the province. John Turmel
John C. Turmel (born February 22, 1951) is a perennial candidate for election in Canada, and according to the ''Guinness World Records'' holds the records for the most elections contested and for the most elections lost, having contested 105 elections and lost 104. David Orazietti
David Michael Orazietti (born November 12, 1968) is a former politician in Ontario, Canada. He was a Liberal member of the Legislative Assembly of Ontario from 2003 to 2016 who represented the northern Ontario riding of Sault Ste. Marie. He served in the cabinet of Kathleen Wynne, most recently as Minister of Community Safety and Correctional Services, until he resigned on December 31, 2016.
