Robert Browne Hall (30 June 1858 Bowdoinham, Maine – 8 June 1907), usually known as R. B. Hall, was a leading composer of March music, marches and other music for American Wind bands. "Death or Glory" is a song by the English punk rock band the Clash featured on their 1979 album ''London Calling''. The song was written by Joe Strummer and Mick Jones and features Strummer on lead vocals. The song was written about the previous generation of rock stars who swore that they would die before growing old. French rock critic Philippe Manoeuvre called it a "parody of Thin Lizzy". "Death or Glory" was covered by the American punk rock band Social Distortion on the ''Lords of Dogtown'' soundtrack. Dave Smalley also covered the song for the 1999 album ''City Rockers'', a tribute to the Clash. "Death or Glory" is also part of the soundtrack of the video game, ''Skate It'' and ''Skate 2''. Holocaust (band)
Holocaust are a Scottish heavy metal band founded in 1977 and based in Edinburgh. Influenced by Black Sabbath, Judas Priest, Motörhead, AC/DC, UFO, Led Zeppelin, Rush and Budgie, the current lineup is John Mortimer guitar and vocals, Scott Wallace drums and Mark McGrath bass. Original lineup featured guitarists John Mortimer and Ed Dudley, vocalist Gary Lettice, bassist Robin Begg and drummer Nick Brockie. In 1983, guitar player Ed Dudley left the band, forming and releasing an album under the moniker Hologram. Rose Tattoo are an Australian rock and roll band, now led by Angry Anderson, which formed in Sydney in 1976. Their sound is hard rock mixed with blues rock influences, with songs including "Bad Boy for Love", "Rock 'n' Roll Outlaw", "Nice Boys", "We Can't Be Beaten" and "Scarred for Life". Their first four albums were produced by Harry Vanda and George Young who also worked with AC/DC. They disbanded in 1987, subsequently reforming briefly in 1993 to support Guns N' Roses on an Australian tour. They reassembled again from 1998 and have since released two more studio albums. ''Death or Glory'' is the fifth studio album by German heavy metal band Running Wild, released 8 November 1989 through Noise Records. It is the band's last album with both guitarist Majk Moti and drummer Ian Finlay. Being one of their most successful releases, it contains the concert favourites "Riding the Storm" and "Bad to the Bone". The final track, "March On", was not included on the vinyl release due to space constraints. The CD version (both the original and remastered) of the album contains 1991's ''Wild Animal'' EP, albeit with a different running order than that of the original. However, despite the presence of ''Wild Animal'' on the original pressing CD, neither the booklet nor back insert tray mention these songs. Roy Harper (born 12 June 1941) is an English folk rock singer, songwriter, and guitarist. He has released 22 studio albums (and 10 live ones) across a career that stretches back to 1966. ''Death or Glory'' is a multidirectional scrolling shooter developed by Wise Owl Software and published by CRL Group in 1987 for the Commodore 64 (and 16 and Plus/4), ZX Spectrum, and Amstrad CPC. The player pilots a space ship and encounters an alien invasion that they then have to defeat. The game received average to negative reviews.
