Death Wish II
''Death Wish II'' is a 1982 American vigilante action film directed and co-edited by Michael Winner. It is the first of four sequels to the 1974 film '' Death Wish''. It is the second installment in the ''Death Wish'' film series. In the story, architect Paul Kersey ( Charles Bronson) moves to Los Angeles with his daughter ( Robin Sherwood). After his daughter is murdered at the hands of several gang members, Kersey once again chooses to become a vigilante. Unlike the original, in which he hunts down every criminal he encounters, Kersey only pursues his family's attackers. The sequel makes a complete breakaway from the Brian Garfield novels '' Death Wish'' and ''Death Sentence'', redefining the Paul Kersey character. It was succeeded by ''Death Wish 3.'' The sequel was produced by Cannon Films, which had purchased the rights to the '' Death Wish'' concept from Dino De Laurentiis. ''Death Wish II: The Original Soundtrack - Music by Jimmy Page '' is a soundtrack album by Jimmy Page, released by Swan Song Records on 15 February 1982, to accompany the film ''Death Wish II''. Overview Following the XYZ project, Page was asked by his London neighbour, movie director Michael Winner, to record a soundtrack for the film ''Death Wish II'' in late August 1981. Page was given a deadline of a few weeks to write and record the album at his personal studio The Sol and to travel on location to Los Angeles with Winner for songwriting themes. Dino De Laurentiis
Agostino "Dino" De Laurentiis (; 8 August 1919 – 10 November 2010) was an Italian-American film producer. Along with Carlo Ponti, he was one of the producers who brought Italian cinema to the international scene at the end of World War II. He produced or co-produced more than 500 films, of which 38 were nominated for Academy Awards. He also had a brief acting career in the late 1930s and early 1940s. Early life De Laurentiis was born at Torre Annunziata in the province of Naples, and grew up selling spaghetti made by his father's pasta factory.
