Death (distinguished as Mistress Death or Lady Death) is a character appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. Created by Mike Friedrich and Jim Starlin, the character first appeared in '' Captain Marvel'' #26 (June 1973). Death is a cosmic entity based on the personification of death. Will Sliney is an Irish comic books artist. He is known as the co-creator of the ''Star Wars'' character Ren, and for his work on comic books such as the ''Marvel's Fearless Defenders'' series, the graphic novel ''Celtic Warrior: The Legend of Cú Chulainn'', and the monthly series ''Spider-Man 2099''. Early life Will Sliney is from Ballycotton in County Cork and went to Cork Institute of Technology where he graduated in Multimedia. The Elders of the Universe are a group of supervillains appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. The Collector was the first Elder to appear, and featured in '' The Avengers'' #28 (May 1966), but the idea that he was a member of a group known as the Elders was not introduced until ''The Avengers'' #174 (Aug. 1978). Fictional history The Elders of the Universe are the last survivors of otherwise extinct races. ''Marvel Super Hero Contest of Champions'' is a three-issue comic book limited series published from June to August 1982 by Marvel Comics. In the field of comic books, a limited series is a comics series with a predetermined number of issues. A limited series differs from an ongoing series in that the number of issues is finite and determined before production, and it differs from a One-shot (comics), one shot in that it is composed of multiple issues. The term is often used interchangeably with miniseries (mini-series) and maxiseries (maxi-series), usually depending on the length and number of issues. The Avengers are a team of superheroes appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. Drax the Destroyer (Arthur Douglas) is a fictional character appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. Created by Jim Starlin, the character first appeared in ''Iron Man (comic book), The Invincible Iron Man'' #55 (February 1973).
