Deanne Olivia Bell is an American television personality and engineer. Career Prior to her media career, Deanne designed optomechanics for military aircraft sensors in Los Angeles and worked as a senior application engineer for a software startup in Boston. She has previously worked on PBS's ''Design Squad'', Discovery Channel's ''Smash Lab'', and National Geographic's "The Egyptian Job". She has also co-hosted DIY Network's "Money Hunters" and ESPN's "Rise Up." Bell is originally from Palm Bay, Florida. In 2002, she graduated from Washington University in St. Louis, with a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering and is the 2019 Young Alumni Award recipient for its McKelvey School of Engineering. Deanne Bergsma
Deanne Bergsma (born 16 April 1941) is a South African ballerina, who made her career in the Royal Ballet at Covent Garden. She was born in 1941 and showed early promise as a dancer, She first came to London in 1957 to take up a place in the Royal Ballet School, having been talent-spotted by Claude Newman, former principal dancer and ballet-master of the Vic-Wells Ballet and now a visiting examiner of the Royal Academy of Dance. In two years she had graduated from the school and joined the Royal Ballet company in 1957. She climbed rapidly through the ranks to become a principal ballerina and appeared in a wide array of roles, both classical and contemporary, until her retirement in 1975. This eighteen-year career coincided with an exciting period for the Royal Ballet. Early Life and Education Bray was born in Canoga Park, Los Angeles, California and has spent most of her life in southern California being raised by her father, though she lived in Seattle for a few years with her mother and attended Washington State School for the Deaf for grade 8. Bray's father knew some basic ASL, but her mother chose not to learn to sign at all. Bray's parents made certain their daughter was instructed from an early age to speak and write English and learn American Sign Language as well, sending her through a variety of learning programs and centers to strengthen her language skills. Dame DeAnne Shirley Julius, (born April 14, 1949) is a Distinguished Fellow at Chatham House. An American-British economist, Julius is noted as a founder member of the Monetary Policy Committee of the Bank of England. She began her active career as a project economist with the World Bank in Washington and has handled extensive roles in the private sector. From 2003–12 she was Chairman of Chatham House in London and from 2014-19 was chair of the Council at University College London.
