Deadline Torp, also known as Torp-Dramaet, is a TV miniseries co-written by crime author Jo Nesbø based on the true events of the 1994 Torp hostage crisis. It was produced for the Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation. It tells the true story of the Torp hostage crisis that took place in Sandefjord, Norway Sandefjord () is a city and the most populous municipality in Vestfold og Telemark county, Norway. Nils Gaup
Nils Gaup (born 12 April 1955) is a Sámi film director from Norway. Career Gaup was born in Kautokeino, Finnmark County in Northern Norway. He first intended to become an athlete but from 1974 to 1978 he went to drama school and studied at the Beaivváš Sámi Theatre in Kautokeino. He also founded the first Sami language theatre ensemble. After acting in several movies, he rose to international prominence in 1987 with his film ''Ofelaš'' (international English title ''Pathfinder''). It was the first full-length movie with all of the dialogue in Northern Sámi. This movie earned him an Academy Award nomination for Best Foreign language film and the Grand Prize award at the 1990 Yubari International Fantastic Film Festival. Torp Hostage Crisis
The Torp hostage crisis occurred on 28 September 1994 at Sandefjord Airport, Torp, Norway. Two Swedish robbers took two police officers and two pensioners as hostages. The police freed the hostages and killed one of the hostage takers. It is the only peacetime incident in which a Norwegian chief of police has given the order to shoot to kill. Events Swedish citizens Rasid Koca, originally from the Czech Republic, and Zvonimir Majdek, originally from Croatia, stole 1.5 million kroner from a small post office in Østre Halsen, just outside Larvik. Their car broke down during the escape, and they eventually ended up in the homes of an elderly couple in Larvik after taking a 44-year-old female police officer as hostage the night after the robbery. Sandefjord Airport, Torp ( no, Sandefjord lufthavn, Torp; ) is an international airport located northeast of Sandefjord, Norway and south of Oslo. The airport features a runway aligned 18/36. Lars Ingvar Hirdwall (born 5 December 1934), is a Swedish actor. Rut Tellefsen (born 23 August 1930) is a Norwegian actress. Personal life Tellefsen was born in Malvik on 23 August 1930, a daughter of Johan Fredriksen and Anna Bergljot Smaage. She was married to actor Tom Tellefsen from 1955 to 1962, and to Kjell Bækkelund from 1966 to 1972. Career Tellefsen made her stage debut at Det Norske Teatret in 1956. She worked for Fjernsynsteatret in its early days, during the 1960s, and she was assigned to Oslo Nye Teater 1969 to 1973. She was co-founder and later artistical director of Telemark Teater, and was assigned to Nationaltheatret from 1981 to 2001. Sverre Anker Ousdal (born 18 July 1944) is a Norwegian actor born in Flekkefjord, Norway. Biography Ousdal made his debut in 1965 at Den Nationale Scene in Bergen. He worked at the Oslo Nye Teater between 1967 and 1970, and is since 1970 part of Norway's National Theatre ensemble. He has had major roles in several TV-series like ''Grenseland'' (1980), ''Blodsbånd'' (1998, for which he was awarded an Amanda), ''Familjen'' (Swedish) and ''Deadline Torp'' (2005).
