''De Corpo e Alma'' (''Of Body and Soul'' in English) is a Brazilian telenovela produced and broadcast by TV Globo. It premiered on 3 August 1992, replacing '' Pedra sobre Pedra'' and ended on 5 March 1993, with a total of 185 episodes. It's the forty sixth "novela das oito" to be aired on the timeslot. A telenovela is a type of a television serial drama or soap opera produced primarily in Latin America. The word combines ''tele'' (for "television") and ''novela'' (meaning "novel"). Similar drama genres around the world include '' teleserye'' (Philippines), '' téléroman'' (Canada, specifically Quebec), and ''sinetron'' (Indonesia). Commonly described using the American colloquialism Spanish soap opera, many telenovelas share some stylistic and thematic similarities to the soap opera familiar to the English-speaking world. The significant difference is their series run length; telenovelas tell one self-contained story, typically within the span of a year or less whereas soap operas tend to have intertwined storylines told during indefinite, continuing runs. This makes them shorter than most other television series, but still much longer than a miniseries. Simone Bittencourt de Oliveira, better known as Simone, is a Brazilian singer of Música Popular Brasileira (MPB) who has recorded more than 30 albums. Biography Simone was born on December 25, 1949, in Salvador, Bahia, as the seventh daughter in a family of nine children. Eva Todor
Eva Todor Nolding (born Eva Fodor; 9 November 1919 – 10 December 2017) was a Brazilian actress and dancer. Biography Eva Fodor was born in Budapest but emigrated with her family to Brazil in 1929. She later changed her surname to Todor. She was married twice – to Luís Iglesias from 1935 until his death in 1963, and to Paulo Nolding from 1964 until his death in 1989. She had no children.
