Kevin De Bruyne (born 28 June 1991) is a Belgian professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for club Manchester City and the Belgium national team. He is widely regarded as one of the best players in the world. Pundits have often described him as a "complete footballer". Donatien de Bruyne (1871–1935) was a French biblical scholar, textual critic, and Benedictine. He was born on 7 October 1871 in Neuf-Église, ordained in 1895. De Bruyne examined Latin manuscripts of the Vulgate, and he collated some of the manuscripts (e.g. Codex Frisingensis, Codex Carinthianus). Alfred De Bruyne (21 October 1930 – 4 February 1994) was a Belgian champion road cyclist. He won six Tour de France stages early in his career and went on to win many other Monuments and stage races. He had a great deal of success early in his career during the Tour de France. 1953 was his first Tour, his best result was making one stage podium, on stage 5 from Dieppe to Caen. In 1954 he finished 2nd on the final stage into Paris and won three stages along the way. In 1955 he didn't win any stages, but ended up with the highest overall classification he would ever have which was 17th. In 1956 he won three stages in the first half of the Tour, but slowed a bit in the second half and couldn't add to this total. Norman Adrian de Bruyne FRS was born in Punta Arenas Chile on 8 November 1904, and baptised on 19 March 1905 at the Anglican St. James Church, by the Rev. Edwin Aspinall.
