DeWayne Lewis
DeWayne Lewis (born October 4, 1985) is an American football cornerback who is currently a free agent. While attending high school, Lewis won the Colorado state championship in both the 100-meter and 200-meter sprints three consecutive years. He played college football at Michigan State University for 3 years under coach John L. Smith and ran track and field. Lewis was all Big Ten in track and field posting some of Big Ten fastest 60 meter dash times. Lewis received an art degree before transferring to Southern Utah University (SUU). Lewis was one of SUU first player to make the NFL. He advanced to the NCAA Track and Field Championships in 2009, won nine conference NCAA championships twice in the 100-meter sprint, and four times broke the school record in the 60-meter dash and 100-meter dash. Michigan State University (Michigan State, MSU) is a public land-grant research university in East Lansing, Michigan. It was founded in 1855 as the Agricultural College of the State of Michigan, the first of its kind in the United States. The Summit League, or The Summit, is an NCAA Division I intercollegiate athletic conference with its membership mostly located in the Midwestern United States from Illinois on the East of the Mississippi River to the Dakotas and Nebraska on the West, with additional members in the Western state of Colorado and the Southern state of Oklahoma. Founded as the Association of Mid-Continent Universities in 1982, it rebranded as the Mid-Continent Conference in 1989, then again as the Summit League on June 1, 2007. Great West Conference
The Great West Conference (GWC) was an NCAA college athletic conference in the continental United States. Originally a football-only league, it became an all-sports entity during the 2008–09 season. The GWC stopped sponsoring football following the 2011 season. The conference became defunct when four of the remaining five full member schools became members of other conferences on July 1, 2013. History Cal Poly, North Dakota State, Northern Colorado, South Dakota State, Southern Utah, and UC Davis inaugurated the Great West Football Conference during the 2004 season. John Lasarus Williams (29 October 1924 – 15 June 2004), known as John L, was a Welsh nationalist activist. Williams was born in Llangoed on Anglesey, but lived most of his life in nearby Llanfairpwllgwyngyll. In his youth, he was a keen footballer, and he also worked as a teacher.
