Alana DeLong
Alana Suzanne DeLong (born c. 1949) is a Canadian politician who was the candidate for the Conservative Party of Canada in the Cowichan-Malahat-Langford federal riding in the 2019 general election. She is a former member of the Legislative Assembly of Alberta who represented the constituency of Calgary-Bow as a Progressive Conservative. She was first elected in 2001 and reelected in the 2004, 2008, and 2012 Alberta provincial elections. Alana DeLong did not run in 2015 general election. Sidney Randolph DeLong
Sidney Randolph DeLong (December 28, 1828 – November 24, 1914) was the first elected mayor of Tucson, Arizona. Elected in 1871 for a one-year term, the municipality formed the township of Tucson with two sections of land purchased from the U.S. government. In 1874 DeLong represented the Tucson area in the 8th Arizona Territorial Legislature. DeLong Star Ruby
The DeLong Star Ruby, a oval cabochon star ruby, was discovered in Burma in the 1930s. It was sold by Martin Ehrmann to Edith Haggin DeLong for , who then donated it to the American Museum of Natural History in New York City in 1937. On October 29, 1964, the DeLong star ruby was one of a number of precious gems stolen in a notorious jewelry heist by Jack Roland Murphy and two accomplices. Xu Delong (; August 1952 – 21 September 2018) was a Chinese materials scientist and a leading authority in silicate research and engineering. He was an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering (CAE), and served as Vice President of the CAE and President of Xi'an University of Architecture and Technology. Ding Delong (; 24 May 1904 – 24 February 1996) was a Chinese National Revolutionary Army general from Hunan. Biography Ding Delong was born in 1904 in You County, Hunan Province, China. At the age of 20, he enrolled in a military academy, later in the same year, in November 1924, the school became one of the institutions that merged to become the Whampoa Military Academy. He was named the commanding officer of the 6th Regiment of the 1st Division of the Nationalist Chinese 1st Army. In 1931, he was named the commanding officer of the Independent Brigade in the 1st Division.
